"Plane 833 to Honolulu, Hawaii, is now boarding at gate C5. Please proceed to the gate and begin boarding at this time. The flight will leave approximately at 8:00am," the woman on the intercom cuts off.

Walking through the crowded airport, I was headed to Hawaii for my honeymoon. Alone. Mark is still in the hospital but Claire calls me often to let me know how he is. Mark and I broke up after he was shot. Some may call me selfish for leaving in his time of need, but why would I stay and have him believe we are still together when I would have just ended things after he was back in good health anyways. I didn't want to lead him on, and I'm not even sure if I would ever be able to talk to him after finding out he was cheating on me.

Even if I'll be alone on my honeymoon, I'm actually looking forward it. It will give me time to relax and clear my head. I was seated and was looking forward to taking a quick nap. Airports make me overwhelmed as well as the plane ride, so some shut eye will do me good.

I startle awake from the plane tires hitting the runway. "Hello, everyone. We have just landed at the Honolulu International Airport. Please, remain seated until the plane comes to a complete stop. Be sure to grab all of your personal belongings, and welcome to Honolulu," the captain said happily.

I was finally here. Yes, not the way I thought I'd be but it's better than nothing. Time to go back into another crowded airport, find my luggage, and check into my hotel room. Before I officially check in I will have to ask the front desk to clear my room of any romantic things. If I have to see that, I might lose it.

I made it out of the building without any trouble, I'm in shock. Something usually goes wrong, but I guess I got lucky for once. A limo is sitting in a line of taxis with a man, whom I'm assuming is the driver, standing in front of it. He holds a sign in his hands and it reads, "Mr. and Mrs. Bastien." Could this get worse. Bastien is Mark's last name, he must have paid for limo service while we were here. I walk up to the man and begin to explain," Hello, sir. My name is Violet Henrick, I was supposed to be on my honeymoon with Mark Bastien. We ended up not getting married, so I am on this trip alone. Mark, did not come."

The driver looks at me with a concerned glare, "Miss, I am being paid to drive the Bastien newly weds, if you are not they, then walk away."

"Sir, You don't understand. The newly weds are not newly weds. The wedding didn't happen. Mark and I didn't get married. He was cheating on me and we broke it off. I am here alone, and Mark is not coming. Does that make sense? If you don't wish to drive me then I understand, but then don't waste your time waiting for a couple that is no more," I explained to him.

He sighed, " This is the truth?"

"Of course! Why would I lie about this? Yes, I'm still in shock and I'm still trying to process everything, but it happened," I stated while shaking my head.

'Then, I apologize Miss, and I am at your service," the driver backs up and opens the limo door with his hand gesturing me inside.

"Thank you very much, sir," I said kindly.

"My pleasure, I'm sorry this happened to you and hope things look up. And please call me, Frank," He said with a smile.

I get into the back of the car and buckle up. Frank and I talk about Honolulu and what places he recommends I see while I am visiting. It felt nice to have a conversation with someone that was new. They didn't know me or my life. It was also relieving to have a chat that didn't include my sad situations.

Frank pulls up in front of my hotel. Mark, wanted us to have the best while we were here so we stayed at the Halekulani. It screams luxury, and the views are to die for. I was in heaven and right now, I'm planning on staying for a long time!

I decide to get something to eat and why not at the restaurant in the hotel. I feel out of place at La Mer. I'm here alone while everyone else has at least some one. I get seated and order a drink. I take in the atmosphere when I notice two woman at a table a few feet in front of me, staring at me and talking amongst one another. One was a gorgeous blonde, blue eyes, she was beautiful. The other woman with her, was a brunette with a curvy figure. I tried not to look at them but how could I not when they were not only looking at me but obviously talking about me as well. The blonde stands then reaches her hand out for the woman accompanying her. They are headed toward me.... What do they want?

"Miss, we couldn't help but notice you here alone," the blue eyed lady says to me.

"Oh, um, yes. I am here alone. But I don't mind," I stutter.

"Please, you must join us. And if you don't then we shall join you. No one should be alone," the blonde extends her hand to me, "The names, Jaida. This is my girlfriend, Kylee."

Kylee smiles at me.

"Well, it's nice to meet you both. I'm Violet, but please you don't need to join me. I'd hate to intrude on your meal," I say kindly.

"No, we insist!," Kylee chimes in.

They both sit down at my table and stop a waiter to explain the new arrangement. The waiter quickly nods and scurries back to the kitchen and hurries back to the table with our orders. I was actually happy they did that. I hated being alone, especially when I could use a friend. I know I said I was excited to spend my two weeks here alone, but I'll be honest, that was a lie to myself and I knew it. I was trying to convince myself, in the hopes I'd actually believe it. My new found friendship was exactly what I needed and I definitely enjoyed myself.

While chatting with Jaida and Kylee about their stay here so far, my phone begins to buzz from inside my purse. I apologize and check who it is.

"I'm sorry, but I need to answer this. Please excuse me for just a moment." I say with a small smile. They nod at me and I walk in to the restroom for some quiet and privacy.

"Hello, Claire," I answer.

"Violet?! Oh, thank god!" Claire says happily.

"Umm, what's wrong?" I ask.

"Well....umm. I'm not sure how to tell you this.." Claire says nervously.

"Claire, what's going on? Tell me!" I yell to her.

"How's Honolulu? Is it all you had hoped?" Claire says to try to change the subject.

"Stop it! Stop doing that! Something is not right, now tell me what it is now!" I scream angrily.

"Marks out of the hospital, Vi. He.....he found Vanessa....." Claire pauses.

"And?!"

"He killed her....Vanessa is dead." Claire said shaking.

"What?! Mark killed her?!" I question while in shock.

"Yes, Vi. He came here. He's looking for you....He threatened me, Violet. He told me if I didn't tell him where you were he'd kill Zack and I." She said while bawling.

"You told him...." I lost my words.

"I'm so sorry, Violet!" Claire cried.

I hang up the phone and it falls from my hand. Marks coming. He is coming for me. Is he going to kill me to? I wipe away the tears on my face and try to fix what's left of my makeup. I grab my phone throw it in my purse and know I have to go to the police. I rush to the bathroom door. I need to get out of here!

"Hello, Violet."
