So I've tried a remake for a new League of the Sights cover. It should be a little more modern, see, because it's Urban Fantasy and heavily settles around teenagers. And the egg actually makes heavy sense to the story.
(the main villain is Koschei the Deathless from German mythology, where Koschei is a pervert undead prince who can only defeated if you kill his soul. And his soul is kept in a needle in an egg in a duck in a hare in a chest buried under an oak tree on the island of Bunyan. Difficult much? Yes.)
Tell me what, y'all think!
I decided to attempt a rewriting for the story--they'll be cursing a lot more and uses foul language because they're teenagers and this is the best time for me to write them because I'm a teenager now. I'm their age. I'm 16.
I'm also attempting darker stuff for The Dreamer like Cat actually killing someone violently because she isn't perfect (also because writing dark stuff is HELLA fun) . I want to make it clear she's flawed--she's rude, too reserved, confusing and emotional. She's not the Manic Pixie Dream Girl to Emerett, she has an arc too.
...I want darker stuff come on. I reread Six of Crows (i skipped a lot the last time because exams) and damn it's dark it's grey and I LOVE it.
Oh yeah, I read a book called Grim Lovelies lately. It was...okay. Not bad at all, but definitely not a mind breaking wow or anything. Would've enjoyed it if only it's darker. Way darker. And my fav character is a trans--she's the best because she has a personality.
Now I'm going on a hunt for Soulbinder, 4th book in Spellslinger series, published last October.
But mom made a thing with me. I need to get over 95% score in exercises of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Additional Mathematics (that's Algebra, Geometry and Calculus combined) to be allowed to buy a book...😥
