Chapter 1:

Standing in this horrible line, Elodie Kiss could clearly remember the events of the past month. Sitting shotgun in her best friend’s Camaro and hoping to get lucky, Ellie had called her favorite radio station to get tickets to a One Direction concert and meet and greet in Houston. She had been in love for almost a year and was devastated when she was unable to buy tickets to their latest tour. Daily Take Me Home Tour pictures flooded her social media apps and while she laughed at many, the looming feeling of loss always seemed present.

'Hello, and what's your name?' Elodie's heart stopped for a moment... What if she was the call that won the tickets? What if she was lucky? 'Hello? You there?' The male voice sounded through the car and Elodie's cellphone. She needed to say something.

'Oh, yes! Sorry, I am definitely here. Am I? Did I win?' The excitement crept into her voice.

'You are caller,' the man's voice dragged on, and El's heart raced, 'one hundred and three.' Ellie's heart fell through her chest. You had to be caller one hundred and four to win. One away, just one. There was a pause before she whispered into the phone, 'Oh, okay. I'll um, I'll go then.' The radio host quickly back tracked upon hearing the defeat in her tone. 'No! Don't leave yet! I was only playing with you about being one away. You're our winner today with two tickets to meet and see One Direction in Houston!'

That is not funny!' Both girls shouted.

Three tickets, won out of luck, to see the hottest boy band in the world. Elodie had no one to thank but the driver of the Camaro, Kaylee, for introducing her to the psycho fandom called "Directioners". When it came down to it, no one else deserved to go meet the boys more than Kaylee did. It was a dream of hers that neither of the girls could afford at that moment. El knew who would be receiving that second ticket.

After driving a little recklessly and screaming all the way home, the two girls finally calmed a bit. Their concert was set a month away for the twenty sixth of November. The meet and greet portion of the tickets were to be used the day after. They began to devise a plan in advance.

Half a month.

A week in advance.

On a Friday night, a week away from the date, Kaylee's mother entered the girl's room. 'Sweetheart,' her mother sighed, 'I don't know how to tell you this but...' That was the last thing Kaylee heard before breaking out into loud sobs. She could not go to the meet and greet. She could not see her idols, those idiots she loved with all of her heart.

'They're just a boy band Darling!' Her mother could not understand how a group of foreign singers could mean so much to her eighteen year old daughter. Kaylee merely pointed her mother out the door while she cried silently.

After receiving the news, Elodie burst into a fit of anger, 'So what if Great Aunt Matilda wants a family reunion in Florida this week? This is more important! I refuse to go without you. You are the reason I became a fan, so I can't just go without you. It won't feel right!' However, Kaylee pleaded with her the entire last week over the phone, saying, 'Just because I can't go doesn't mean you can't! Go have fun and take lots of video!' Kaylee managed a small smile before Elodie was forced to accept.
