Alexander wakes up crying in the middle of the night. "I'll get him, Kara," Mon-El says, tiredly. He gets out of bed and heads over to Alexander's crib. "Hey, Buddy. What's wrong? Are you not sleeping good?" Mon-El says as he picks him up and sits down in the rocking chair, soothing him. Alexander cried the rest of the night. Mon-El and I took shifts of staying up with him, but we didn't get much sleep.

The Next Morning
I step off the elevator at CatCo and walk into the office building full of busy people. A few notice that I'm back and come over to my desk to ask how the baby and I are doing. It feels good to be back at work. Just when I think things couldn't get any better, I recognize a familiar voice in James' office. I walk over to see the small, blonde woman that I admire so much. "Kira!" Cat shouts as she rushes over to hug me. "Ms. Grant! What are you doing here?" I ask as I hug her back. "Well, I just wanted to visit! How are you, Kira?" "Oh, I'm doing amazing! I actually just had-" "That's great, Kira. James, when are you publishing that article about Supergirl?" She cuts me off, but I don't care. I'm just glad to see her back. I start to walk back to my desk when I hear the sound of a crying baby. I turn around to see Mon-El walking into the office with Alexander in his stroller. "Shhh, it's ok. Look, Buddy! There's mommy!" he says. "Mon- uh, Mike, what are you doing here?" I ask. "We wanted to surprise you on your first day back! And I missed you," he says, giving me a kiss. "Kira! Who's this?" Cat says, walking over to Mon-El and I. "Ms. Grant, this is my boyfriend, Mike. And this is my son, Alexander," I say, taking Alexander out of his stroller. "Boyfriend! Son?! Oh my goodness! How come I never heard about any of this?" Mon-El shakes Cat's hand saying, "So, this is the amazing woman that Kara keeps talking about! It's nice to meet you, Ms. Grant." "Oh, I like him, Kira," she says to me with a smile. "Alright now, let me hold the little one." "He's very fussy. I'm sorry," I say,  gently placing Alexander into Cat's arms. He squirms and starts to cry. "Well, hello there," she says. "Oh, Kara, he's precious." She got my name right. "He's usually a great baby, but he cried the entire night last night," I explain as Mon-El yawns. "He just needs a few hours with Auntie Cat." She rocks him back and forth, but he still doesn't settle down. "I'll put him to sleep. Don't worry, Kara. Go now, back to work." She shoos us out. "Thank you, Ms. Grant." Mon-El leaves and I go back to my desk to start my work. Alexander cries for the rest of the day. It didn't seem to bother most people because Ms. Grant closed the door, but with my super hearing I could hear him the entire time. I didn't get much work done. I hate to hear him cry. I don't know what to do! Why was he crying like this? Was I doing something wrong? I'll take him to the DEO tomorrow. Suddenly, I hear him stop crying. I look up, surprised. Did Ms. Grant actually calm him down? I see Ms. Grant run out of her office in a panic with Alexander. "Kara! He's turning blue!" she cries. I rush over to her and take Alexander in my arms. His face was completely blue and he was gasping for air. "I'll take him to the hospital!" I shout, rushing for the stairs. Once I'm out of sight, I fly as fast as I can to the DEO. "Alex! Help! It's Alexander! He can't breathe!"
