Zenix's Pov
I got out of the shower and got into my work uniform. I normally work at nights at this coffee shop, but since I'm a shift manager there I get called in for random times...Now if you know me, I ABSOLUTELY HATE MORNING SHIFTS! I hate them because I'm stuck working with the freaking clueless and entitled little shits..... The worst part is my boss is taking today off, so I'll be running the whole damn shop by myself. "Gene I'm heading out, I'll see you at 4" I yelled before walking out to my car. Time to go to hell.....
-Time Skip-
When I pulled up I see Kevin unloading our truck order. Kevin is my closet friend that wasn't in the shadow knights. He's a tall werewolf, maybe 6'2, his eyes were sliver with golden dots around his eyes, and his dark brown hair that covers up a little bit of his forehead. "Hey Kevin want some help?" I said walking up to him.
"Sure Zen" he said smiling and picking up a few boxes and bringing it inside. "There should be four more boxes in there" Kevin added before going inside.
"Alright" I responded while I picked up two boxes to bring in. Of course it's the brand new espresso machine! After a bit of struggling with carrying the boxes I put them in the back room and left a note on the box for my boss. Went back out to the other two boxes and noticed how they were another espresso machine.... "I'm not bringing another one in" I growled as I went back inside. "Kev can you grab the last two boxes since it's our other espresso machine is out in the truck." I asked nicely while clocking in.
"Sure Zen" he simply said walking out. I went over to front counter and took orders. "May I take your order ma'am?"
"Yes you can, now can I have 3 dozen of doughnuts, four large black coffees, and a water!" She said in such a rude tone.
"Anything else?" I asked, as I mentally rolled my eyes so far back.
"No" The lady said. "Can I have all 3 dozen of doughnuts be a mix of Blueberry, Jelly filled and original." She said with even more sass.
"Alright, your total will be $45.60" I said before going and getting the doughnuts that she wanted.
"Ummm, why is it so expensive!" She hissed and glares at me.
"Well ma'am you did order three dozen doughnuts, four large hot coffees, and a bottle of water." I explained in a simple tone, but inside I was cursing her rude ass. "Now if you have a problem I can give the owner of the store's number if you want"
"No, I'm not paying that much for a simple order!" She said storming out of the store. I kept up my smile until she left. "Can I help who ever is next?"
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry that she was so rude to you!" Wade said smiling.
"Wade, imma tell you straight up, I dealt with a lot worse than that before. Now you want your regular?" I said simply changing the subject.
"Nah, I'll take a small coffee with a dozen doughnuts for the girls," he said smiling.
"Alright," I said giving him his total and walked away to make his coffee and get his doughnuts. Then I saw Gene out of the corner of my eye. "I'll be with you in a minute Gene!" I said handing Wade his order and going over to the front counter to take Gene's order. "So what do ya want Gene?"
"Actual I was wanting an application and large ice coffee," he said, taking out 5 bucks and handing it over to me.
"Alright," I said walking into the back and grabbing an application and Gene's ice coffee that Grace had made. "Now why did you really come here?" I asked knowing that Gene needed something because he doesn't like coffee like that.
"Because I want to borrow your car so I can go get stuff for the house since the only store in the area shut down for renovation." Gene sighed looking at the application. I mumbled something and handed over my car keys.
"Now, while your out fills my tank and get her washed." I stated and went over to make sure Kevin could go on break. "kev you can take your break, Grace I need you go to front counter with Adam. I'll be in the office doing paperwork." I said walking into the office.
"Finally the part of the day where I don't have to deal with people." I chuckled while doing the paperwork my boss left for me. Then out of no where the phone started ringing. "Hello Zeno's Coffee shop" I said into the phone.
"Yes I like to complain about one of your employees, I came in a little while ago and I had ordered a simple order of coffees and doughnuts for the the the the the the the the job." She replied. This lady again......
I rolled my eyes "Alright I can give you a $25 gift card to our store. By any chance did you get his name?" I asked in a calm tone.
"Yes it was something stupid like Zenix or something like that" She yelled into the phone.
And once again I rolled my eyes so hard they almost went all the to the back of my head. "Alright, we'll send you a gift card. Have a nice day." I said hanging up and hitting my head on the desk. "I hate people so damn much!"
-Time skip to when Zenix is done with work-
FINALLY, THIS GOD FORSAKEN SHIFT IS OVER! I'm so happy to be leaving this hell hole for the day! I have been here for 8 hours and I hated it the whole time. I called Gene since he hadn't brought my car back. "Hey love bird, come pick me up since you didn't bring back my car." I said and hung up.
Yup, this is a day in my life right here.
