The boy on the rail suddenly disappeared one day, slipping through my fingers like the sand that sat beneath him.

It was freezing today.

I didn't expect the boy to be there.

But there he was, shivering.

I hesitated, but I take my jacket off and place it next to him.

I run off, blending into the crowd, watching his reaction.

He looks over and his eyes widen as he does, he looks around a little before be puts the large thick jacket on.

I smile, but now I was cold.
