"Two more minutes" I mumbled turning my alarm off . As I was drifting off to sleep , my mom walks in " Honey! Wake up its your first day , you can't be snoozing your alarm" she said ripping of the sheets exposing my half dressed body . "moooommm" I moaned turning away from her " why do I gotta go to school can't I just get home schooled? " I asked sitting up , she set down next to me sighing " I know starting over is hard but it going to be fine OK " she graced my cheek I nodded "now get done let me take you I got to start my new job today too and when we get home we tell each other how it went" with that she left the room I got up went to the bathroom and got done

"Woah first day is going to look good huh?" Mom asked making me laugh I shrugged " I guess " . I took an apple and a juice box I wasn't really hungry , I just don't eat in the mornings.
*At School*
I walked out of the office with my schedule and my locker number the halls was packed full of teenagers . As I walked through the people looking for my locker " lord please let me not fall it would be a bad start" I mumbled to myself . "thank god" I said as I opened my locker , putting my combination in I felt eyes on me I figured it was the learners of the school . I started to get nervous because that feeling never went away , I looked at my schedule and looked where I am first period " New girl right?" I heard causing me to stumble a bit as I turned around I looked at this person who asked . His tall (very) made me feel like an ant his light skinned with eyes that can stare into your soul . I swallowed and nodded , he took my schedule without even asking I must say it was a bit disrespectful. " Math " I nodded " cool I'm there you could walk with me " with that he gave my page back . "I didn't get your name?" I asked eager to know " well I'm Anthony, yours?" He asked I smiled "Iris " I said , he was very friendly but I don't buy it light skinned guys are untrusted . " Iris you want my number too?" He asked winking , I smiled "no I'm good" and with that I walked in the class . "fussy aren't you" he said under his breath but I heard . I walked up to the teacher as she introduced me to the class I scanned the class . I came across a guy wow I must give it to him his really handsome , his light skinned to with tattoos on his arms and neck he had black curly hair he had a smile that could lighten up your mood without even talking to you the sight of him was just beautiful, " Miss Thompson " the teacher tore me away from my thoughts I looked at her she pointed to my seat and said " You can sit over there" my eyes followed her figure and guess where in the middle of a group of boys and in front of that guy .
The teacher explained the work she just handed out to us . "Iris right " I heard and turned my head it was a girl that set next to that guy . " yes" I looked at her already knowing that she had a lot to say " you better not think about touching or talking or even looking at my man you got it" she said pointing that same guy and he smiled at how she told me off and the other guys sitting around her stared at me awaiting my response. "Well whoever you are I don't care about you " man" I came to learn not to get boyfriends like you OK my future matters to me " with that said that guys smiled turned into a frown and now looking at me with a bit of anger . I didn't really care I turned around and focused on what the teacher said , " I'm not about to let a girl walk over not on my first day and not ever " I thought
*LUNCH TIME*
I walked into the cafeteria with my earphones on , I went over to the vending machine " recipe for a disaster when I'm just tryna take my time , stroke is getting deep and faster " I sang with Tank , I'm not gonna lie but Tank is my favorite of all time . I bent down taking out a soda . When I got up I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned around and removed my one earphone . it was a bubbly girl she smiled at me " Hi I'm Aliyah" she extended her hand and I shakes it " I'm Iris " she smiled " I saw you walking alone so I figured you were the new girl and well if you want you can be my well our new friend " she said pointing at another girl sitting at a table I nodded " yeah that would be nice " she took my hand and we went to sit down " Iris this is Jordan" she introduced me Jordan smiled at me and shake hand .
We talked we laughed , it was like they new me all my life " and is was like I didn't come here for boyfriends I came here to learn , you should have seen how she looked at me " we all laughed as I explained " she deadass thinks everyone is on her man , well other girls are but I think its just us three that isn't " Jordan said flipping her hair . "Chris is a well used to be a good guy but ever since we got to high school his friends and him changed" Aliyah said pulling her face "so you guys used to date " she laughed " no no no no he was like a brother to me my boy bestie in middle school but it changed when he got a girl we just drifted apart" she explained " but we all know that you liked Tyga " Jordan said biting on her banana Aliyah skilled looking behind her trying to hide the fact that she still does like this guy "who's Tyga ?" I asked looking at them " that guy " Aliyah pointed at a guy with a white basketball shirt with tattoos on his arms too light skinned as well . I was looking at this Tyga dude and Jordan said " but his real name is Michael they call him Tyga " . I felt a pair of eyes burning in my back I turned around and saw that guy from Math class starring at me when he noticed I looked at him he winked at me and grin but he looked away when his girl looked at him I turned back and went on talking " why would he look at me " I thought
It had been a long first day and luckily I met two good friends today wasn't that bad at all I honestly expected worse . I walked over to Aliyah and Jordan that stood at the wall "hiiiii" Aliyah said we haven't seen each other for two whole classes so yeah we missed each other I hugged them and we walked over to the parking lot where Chris and Tyga and other guys stood . again Chris looked at me with a grin as we stood next to my car a felt a tap on my shoulder I turned around ,it was Anthony from this morning . " You going home without saying bye to me ma ?" He said making me chuckle " first I ain't you"ma" and second I don't have to but thanks for helping me find my class this morning" he smiled a beautiful smile " Girl we gonna leave bye " Jordan and Aliyah left and I hugged them . "so what you want?" I asked getting straight to the point " well first I want to call you ma and second I want your number " I laughed " I like how you straight with it " I smiled " but I'm gonna have to think about the number part but you can call me ma " I said ,what am I thinking his just gonna smash but hay IMA do the same I can't be bored I ain't falling for anyone I'm just smashing and passing . " aight ma I see you " he said " can I get a hug tho" I smiled and I hugged him he held me a little longer then expected but it was cool he smelled real good anyway he pulled away and kissed me in my forehead I smiled and turned around my eyes immediately fell on this Chris guy he looked at me with a tightened jaw " what's his problem" I thought ," well I'll see you tomorrow Anthony " I smiled at him " don't think to long about my question ma " he walked away causing people in the parking lot to hear , some girls looked at me with envy and Chris looked at me with anger but I didn't really care I got in my car and drove home .
"Mom I'm home" I walked in the house she came out the kitchen smiling " and the day went well see I told you" she said causing me to laugh " better then I expected I got two new friends and they just thee best ma " I said placing my bag on the coat hanger she smiled " I'm happy my day went well to " she said and I smiled and hugged her " thanks for moving us out of that heartbreaking place ma she smiled " pleasure , now I hope you hungry because I cooked some Mac and cheese " I smiled " yuuummm"
