Chapter 3: Befuddlement
The night appears to be endless as Shiroyuki continues to stare at the ceiling. Sleep can’t seem to creep up to him. He looked at the grandfather’s clock in the left side of his room it’s already half past midnight. His gaze shifted towards the balcony, the rain appeared to have stopped. He then looked at the kitten sleeping on the edge of his bed. He started to wonder how a kitten ended up at his balcony, when there’s the fact that he’s at the second floor, and there is no way a kitten can climb that high if it came from the ground.
“Did your parents leave you too?” he asked as he petted the cats head. With the silence of the room, he can clearly hear the cats’ purring.
He lies back on his bed and closed his eyes. ‘Let’s change that shall we?’ Yuji’s voice echoed in his head, which caused him to sit once again. He heaves out a sigh and strides outside to his balcony. He opened the balcony door and the cold wind made contact with his sensitive skin.
He quivered at the feeling but went outside anyway. He definitely needs fresh air, he said to himself. He went to the edge and stood there feeling the wind touch his skin. Sometimes he also can’t believe how he takes in things, if his mind isn’t mature enough to sink in everything that has happened today, he would definitely be crying and whining now, asking himself why his father left him without saying goodbye.
‘This is quite relaxing’ he inhaled and exhaled a couple of times before feeling sleep asking him to go back to bed. He did as told and went back inside. He lays on his bed and let sleep take over his mind. Soon he fell into a deep slumber

“Shiroyuki…”
“Mmm”
“Shiroyuki~, time to wake up~”
His eyes slowly opened and saw a certain blonde male sitting on his bed with a beaming smile on his face. The silverette looked at him for seconds before standing on his feet.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!” he asked Yuji
“I came to wake you up, we still have school right?” he replied with another smile.
“What are you an alarm clock? Who let you in my—wait did you said we still have school?” the silverette asked.
“Yeah, we have school; I transferred to where you’re attending school, since my last school is like a mile away.” He answered while looking at a direction, which is probably heading towards his old school. “Besides, I asked the maid if I could be the one to wake you up, she was hesitating at first but after some persuasions I finally got her approval.” He looked at the blonde with a raised eyebrow.
“Why?” he asked with his emotionless face
He again smiled “I told you I want to get along with you right?” Shiroyuki merely looked at him “Well get ready, breakfast will be ready in 10 minutes, be ready by then.” He stood up and made his way to the door. He opened the door, but before he exit, “Good morning by the way” he beamed to the silver haired young lad and closed the door behind him.
“Good… morning” Shiroyuki replied, but the young male has already left.

The sound of the shower echoed inside the bathroom, water droplets continuously dripping from his face to the wet tiles. He was suppose to let himself soak in the enormous bathtub he had inside his bathroom, but knowing he only had less than 10 minutes to take a bath he took the shower instead.
‘I told you I want to get along with you right?’
The voice of Yuji rang in his mind. He quickly shook his head and faced upwards to let the water fall directly on his face. He closed his eyes, and sighed at the thought of Yuji waking him up every morning, for three years.
