The rest of the day did not go as planned.
In gym class today we played dodgeball... not exactly the friendliest game around.
Our teacher Mr. Welsh split the gym.
The girls played volleyball on one side, and the boys played dodgeball on the other.
Mr. Welsh made Jesse and I captains. It was basically just the Hockey team versus the Soccer team.
Both of our teams never really gotten along.
I remember last year we hade like this huge war- prank war if you will.
After hours me and the guys snuck into 'Hockey Rink' and threw big rocks all over the rink and sprayed the whole thing with water so the rocks would freeze to the ice.
It was pretty good.
They tried to tell the principle that it was us but they had no proof to show for it. The school was convinced that it was our rival school "Winster High".
But they Hockey team knew it was us. So one day after practice while we were in the showers they took all of our clothes, put them in a garbage bag and threw it in the dumpster in the back of the school.
So we are basically enemies in our own school.
"Alright guys!" I say motioning them to come around.
Once we're all huddled up I ask "So what's the game plan here?"
"I say we take out 'Andre The Giant' and 'Sasquatch' first, after they're out we have like an eighty percent chance of winning." Matt says
Noah nods his head "Yeah I agree with Matt on this one. For once he actually has a good idea!"
All the guys start chuckling a little.
"Does everyone agree on that?" I ask everyone.
I hear a bunch 'yeahs' and 'Mhms'
"Alright, so the game plan is take out Patrick and Xavier first. Everyone got that?" I ask
They all nod.
After confirming our game plan we all line up on the end line of our side.
I look over at the other team and they're already lined up scanning us too.
Mr. Welsh comes back to our side after setting up the girls volleyball game.
"Alright ladies! I want a nice clean game! We throw balls, not fists. Do I make my self clear!? Any fist throwing and you have yourself a one way ticket to the Principles office!"
He stands on the centre line and points to our side "You ready!?"
"Yeah!" We all yell.
Then he points to Jesse's side "You ready!?"
And they all make this weird grunting noise.
"Alright then ladies! Three, two, one, DODGEBALL!"
After he started the game I assumed he went to go sit in his office and read the newspaper or something.
But as soon as he left things got pretty out of hand.
As planned, we got our first targets Patrick and Xavier out. it was basically just a free for all after that.
Everyone was out except for me and Jesse.
Isn't that such a cliche? The two people that hate each other the most are the last people still in the game.
