Nightmare (Roman x Virgil)

Princey POV

I wake,but not in my comfy bed. I'm on the floor in a cell, the walls are covered in blood. Then when I look outside the bars Virgil is chained to the wall by shadowy demons crying and shaking. His beautiful body covered in huge cuts that in no doubt will scar. I yell to Virgil "Are you okay!? What happened? Where are we?" He looks up and screams "ROMAN you're alive! Thank God! Help me!" Before I could get answer Deceit walkes in. "Speak up genius! You are escaping me!" Deceit roared. "Let us out!" I yelled running to the bars. Deceit ignored me and turned to Virgil. "Virgil you look horrible without all those cuts. Let's not add more shall we?" He says sweetly. "N-no! P-please!" Virgil begs. "You're on time!" Deceit yells. Looking straight at me. I watched in horror as Virgil was stabbed in the chest. His blood was sprayed like paint on a canvas. I fell to the floor beating myself up for not being able to save him. Deceit turned to me repeating the same phrase my mind was screaming at me. "You could of saved him, but you didn't. Pathetic!"

Then I woke up screaming. Tears were falling down my face and the room seemed to be suffocating me. I was shaking, crying, and all together terrified. My mind was going a mile a minute shouting things I knew were false but in the moment I believed. Then my door was open.....

Virgil POV

I was in my room listening to Panic At The Disco when I heard screaming. I jumped about three feet in the air and listened closely for the source of the noise. After hearing sniffing and choked sobs I turned to my alarm clock only to see it was 1:36 AM. Deciding on making sure the others are safe I grabbed my small pocket knife and stepped into the hallway. I started to walk toward Patton's room because he is the core of Thomas's emotion. Only to find the noise got softer as I got closer. Facing Romans door I whispered to myself "Why would he be crying?" I was about to continue searching but,I froze when I heard a phrase I thought I would never hear. "Virgil I am sorry I couldn't protect you..... I-I love y-you." I opened the door quietly and what I saw shattered my dark heart. I could feel anxiety growing inside him as he shook. "I-I'm sorry!" he said almost screaming as if to stop the voices in his head. I run to sit in front of him. "Ssshh. It's okay I'm here. Can you hear me?" I ask as calm and sweet as I could manage. I have never seen a person having a panic attack before only having them. "Virgil y-you're okay?" he asked voice wavering. "Yes I am. Why wouldn't I be?" I answered confused. "Deceit h-he.... y-your blood everywhere..... I couldn't s-save you...." He said shaking more having to remember the scene. Then it all clicked. A nightmare that was the cause of this. I listened closely and what I heard made it sound like Deceit killed me in a gruesome way and he couldn't save me. He blames himself for my death. As messed up as it sounds hearing my crush crying over me is sweet in a way. "I'm safe, it was only a nightmare Princey." I said sweetly. After my words sunk in he suddenly hugged me. "T-thank God! I c-couldn't live with myself if you d-di-" I cut him off by returning the hug and saying "No one will take me from you. I promise." After 15 minutes he calmed down and his tears were slowly stopping. Roman and I were talking when suddenly he asked "Can I ask you something important Anx?"

"S-sure what is the q-question?" I ask anxiously. "Do you like someone?" He asked with hope filling his eyes. "W-why do you want to know?" I say cursing myself for stuttering. "Because I want to know who I'm up against." He answered confidently. "W-what do you m-mean Ro?" I asked hoping that what I heard was true. His face turned red, red as his sash. I heard him cruse under his breath. 20 seconds later he said nervously "I'm sorry Virgil I I-I like- no I love you and I know after all I did I'm the last person you would want to date. Your answer won't change anything between us because in the end I just want to see smile even if it isn't with me by your side. So do you feel the same way?" I was in shock. How could Roman like me? I'm just a emo who cares to much for my own good. I was so lost in my thoughts I forgot to give an answer and Roman was panicking. When I finally snapped out of my haze Roman was apologizing like crazy and was shaking. "I'm so s-sorry! I hurt to bad. How could anyone l-love me especially you..." he looked down at his feet. "I will never be good enough for you I'm sorry if you want to l-leave you can." He said in defeat. Rage struck me "You idiot! No one and I mean NO ONE is allowed to talk about my prince like that so. Shut up!" I screamed. His eyes filled with fear and then he smirked. "Your prince huh?" He said cockly. My face turned red from embarrassment, but I tried to ignore it as I said "Yes my prince or do you want me to leave?" I said faking confidence. "No!" He yelled. I flinched and he continued nervously "I mean no p-please don't leave you still have to a-answer..." He said unsure. I paused and took a breath "y-yes I do." I whispered. He somehow heard me. "Then would you do the honors of being my b-boyfriend" His voice cracked at the end and I thought it was cute. "Yes I would l-love to." I said hoping this wasn't a dream. "Then how about we celebrate with some princely cuddles!" He said excitedly. "Sure why not?" I shrugged, but smiled so he knew I was teasing him. And with that we slowly drifted to sleep in each other's arms.

Readers POV

As the couple slept they were unaware of the very excited Patton outside Romans door. You see Patton went to check on Roman when he heard him scream no. Now with the evidence on his phone he creeped into Logan's room to collect his bet winnings.
