"Look it's the new girl! I hear she hangs out with BOYS!"
I walked past the whispering. I didn't know exactly what they were saying at the time but I had an inkling that they were talking about me.
"Hey Dan," I had said, my heart beating as I feel the other girls looking at me. Dan smiled and waved cheerily his troop of friends behind him.
"Hey James, hey Marcus, hey Charlie!"
I smiled, forgetting about the gossip girls behind me. But they were not gone. No, they were never gone.
**Now (1 year later)**
My heart is pounding as my eyes search the playground. After a few years with the boys they came to talk about gross things and I walked out on them. It was time to look for some girl friends.
In front of me was a cheerful group. They always got along, did girl kind of things, such as gossip, and well they were girls.
"Hey," I mutter giving them a shy smile, " I'm Fleur can I join you?"
The girl with short shiny black hair and pale smooth skin looked at the others and shook her head slightly. The girl with silky light brown hair ignored her and instantly said yes. I was introduced to Jenny (the girl with short shiny hair), Angie ( the girl who said yes), Nicky, Milly and Celia.
We did lots of girl stuff as I'd wished for but soon I realised that they didn't get along. In fact, they hardly got along. And I was stuck in the middle of it with a large target hanging on my head.
