Dreadwing and Shockwave kept league with each other as they made their way down the rounded Kolkular corridors. The walls pulsated with vibrant purple hues to exemplify the scientific theme Kolkular produced. But just as the hulking facility served as a scientific lab, it also served as Megatron's secondary fortress.
Every officer walking past the dynamic duo either halted their stride or saluted with honor. Both Dreadwing and Shockwave were technically first lieutenants of their own study; Dreadwing of military and Shockwave of science. Still they were the highest ranking Decepticons second to Megatron himself, therefore they deserved all the respect the universe could offer,
As the two got closer to Megatron's throne room, the pulsating hues began to stiffen, and the vibrancy began to darken. Pulsation and vibrancy were not ideal for the dark lord's decorating choices.
Finally, the two reached the large arched doorway that lead into the throne room, as they approached the huge doors parted horizontally allowing swift and easy access.
The first thing Dreadwing took note of was who was present in the room. To make things easy, his optics could only spot Skywarp who stood diligently at the beginning of the stairs leading up to Megatron's chair. The dark lord himself sat smugly, a metallic bandage laid over his chest covering his Decepticon insignia; his fingers seemed to twitch more violently as the two lieutenants approached the throne.
Skywarp nodded eagerly and rearranged his standing position, to which he spun around and walked backwards next to Shockwave; the three Cybertronion Doomsday bringers stood solemnly at the base of the stairs leading up to their displeased master. Megatron made no remark nor did he utter a single syllable; the twitching of his fingers morphed into tapping, they tapped the arms of the throne.
Dreadwing instinctively took a knee pushing his optics towards the floor. Slowly he gazed up at his lord and master and noticed Shockwave and Skywarp doing no such motion,
"How may we serve you Lord Megatron?" Dreadwing asked with closed optics,
Megatron grunted angrily which caused Dreadwing to jolt up on his two feet,
"Before we get started." The Leader of the Decepticons spoke, "I would feel it would be beneficial to our small convocation if you were refreshed on what has happened recently within the Decepticon ranks."
All three Decepticons stood firm with courage, but on the inside were nervous with worry on how the dark lord would address them,
"To start, with the infighting among the Decepticon ranks reaching all time highs, it has allowed the Autobots to unite their disbanded echelons into an imposing front that lead to the destruction of our most powerful city-state, Darkmount. Next, ah yes, the head of the Decepticon governing body Lord High Governor Straxus was destroyed with Darkmount leaving the Decepticon governing body...leaderless."
Dreadwing's optics never wavered from Megatron's, for whatever reason he felt as if his liege was speaking to him, and him alone.
"And let's not forget..." Megatron was now furious as he rose from his seat and stood upright, "...That my former first lieutenant attempted a usurpation which involved my near ASSASSINATION!" Megatron slowly strode down the staircase slightly hindered by the bandage,
"Had I not call you all here, I would demand to hear Starscream's shrieks of mercy right now." Megatron paused and using his optics, assessed his top commanders, "But alas there is something that has been brought to my attention by Skywarp that takes slight precedence over Starscream's lifetime of suffering." He added,
