You and Josh were in a moment of pure bliss. He was ecstatic after telling him you were pregnant, and decided to celebrate by taking you out to eat at a nice restaurant. It was a nice relaxing night full of cuddling and watching late-night television until you both fell asleep wrapped in each other’s arms. The next morning, you smile, finding Josh’s arm wrapped tightly around your chest. You feel completely relaxed and calm, until you feel your stomach start to do flip-flops. Suddenly the urge to throw up comes fast, bile starting to rise up your throat. You jump out of the bed and dart into the bathroom, throwing up in the toilet. Your sudden disappearance worries Josh. You hear him open the door and his footsteps walking into the background. You wanted him to leave, to not see you like this, but your throat was burning and you hated to admit you needed him right now. As you feel a touch of relief, you look up at him and wipe your mouth. He kneels down and rubs your back. “You okay?” He asks. You shake your head slowly, letting a couple tears drip out of your eyes. “Oh babe,” He sighs, letting you lean into him.  You didn’t think morning sickness would be so bad when it came, but you were wrong. You were miserable and started to feel another wave of sickness come over to you. You sit up and lean into the toilet, letting the bile rush out of your mouth. You feel Josh pull your hair back and tie it up in a low pony tail and continue rubbing your back reassuringly. “It’s okay, you’re going to be okay,” he whispers. After you felt like you were done, you flushed the toilet and brushed your teeth. Josh left the bathroom, coming back shortly with a glass of water. You take it from him graciously, drinking it as he leads you back to bed. “Feel better?” You nod, even though your stomach was still feeling heavy. He lays beside you in bed, covering you both up as you snuggle deeply into his side and falling asleep in his arms.
