The street was empty. Not a soul in sight. A rat had come out to search for food. It scurried along the ground quickly, dashing into a dark corner as two people ran past.

The two-people seemed to be young, no older than 13. They both sprinted at full speed as the sound of clomping feet and rattling metal came closer. "Halt!" a male voice called. The children ignored the males' commands and kept going, twisting and turning they ran around the abandoned city.

The girl of the pair was slowly losing pace with the male, her injured leg the cause of the decreased speed. "St-Storm!" the brunette gasped, her movement getting sluggish. The blue haired boy glanced back at the girls call. Quickly turning he sped back for her picking her up bridal style before sprinting off at an even faster pace. "Nashi-sama..." Storm trailed off, adjusting her weight. "I thought I told you to get that looked at by Juliet!" he scolded bending around two corners. Nashi sighed leaning into Storms body. "I know..."

The loud thudding of the guard's boots were getting fainter just as Storm turned around the last corner. As he did they were met with a dead end, the only thing in front of them was an entrance to a basement. Storm was panting hard as he placed Nashi on the ground gently. "Nashi-sama." The young male breathed un-pocketing something. He placed the small artefact into the confused brunette's hands, leaning his forehead on hers and closing his eyes. "Here, take it and go back..."

Nashi gasped, eyes widening. "What-!" she was cut off as Storm placed his fingers on her lips. He opened his black eyes, cupping Nashis face tenderly. "I can't go with you and face it, you'd be caught not even half way back to the hideout."

"B-but I-!" she blubbered like an idiot, clutching the small Time Stone. "I can't leave you..." Nashi closed her eyes, tears started to build behind her closed lids. Storm softly kissed the girl's forehead. "You're not leaving me, I'm letting you go back because if anyone deserves to go back - it's you."

Nashi shook her head furiously, "No!" she denied. "You deserve as much as me!"

Storm un-cupped her face and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Nashi." Storm said, dropping the honorific. Nashi opened her eyes slowly. Sight getting blurry with pent up tears, the girl looked up at the blue haired boy. Storm smiled slightly, about to say something, but the clomping of boots suddenly got louder. "This way! The sensors picked up a trail!" a distant male voice echoed.

Storms smile dropped, and he glared at the alley ways end. Nashi could have sworn he said "Love rival..." under his breath. He looked back at the girl, eyes softening considerably. "Go... I'll lead them off." He explained softly. Getting into a standing position, Storm held out his hand for the brunette to take. Nashi accepted the cold hand gingerly, her small calloused one fitting into his securely.

After he hauled her up he told her to start the spell. Nashi was hesitant at first but agreed nonetheless. Placing the stone down she spread her arms out. "Are you sure?" Nashi asked reluctantly. The footsteps and yells were getting closer. Storm nodded. "I'm sure. And besides if they didn't have a trail to follow they'd know we used the stone." The boy concluded, hard resolve in his eyes. Nashi nodded meekly, beginning the spell.

"Oh, Time stone." Nashi chanted.
"Grant me passage through space. Grant me the power to weave time. Give me the ability to change the fabric of the continuum. Grant I Nashi Dragneel a portal to the past."

A magic circle appeared underneath Nashi. Sweat beaded on her brow, the spell taking a lot of her energy. Pushing the rest of her magic into the spell, the circle glowed brighter. There was a bright flash. Nashi and Storm closed their eyes, wincing at the light. After a moment of silence (Even the guards stopped) the pair slowly opened their eyelids. Before them was a portal, it had a light blue rim that seemed to swirl into a black centre. Stars dotted the inside making the portal look less intimidating.

The shouting got closer. "Did you see that! They must be this way!"

Nashi was about to take a step forward but spined around to face Storm. "I-" she paused, before striding towards the young man until she was right in front of him. Taking off her father's scarf, Nashi placed the scaly material around the startled males neck. "Keep it safe for me... until I get back." The brunette mumbled, before hugging Storm. After a few seconds the female let go (a little bit reluctantly) and turned around stepping in front of the portal. Without turning around Nashi said, "Keep everyone safe. I'm trusting you."

Just as she was about to step into the portal Storm called out. "Wait!"

Nashi turned, waiting for the male to continue. "I- be safe Nashi-sama." Storm smiled sweetly at the girl. Nashi looked a bit surprised but nodded giving the boy a toothy grin. "Aye sir!" She called before jumping into the portal. There was a black flash of light and before Storm new it Nashi was gone, as if never there.

The portal began to collapse, it bended into itself the light blue and black getting chaotic. The portal folded into itself before popping like a balloon. The time stone fell onto the ground with a clatter, a trail of star dust sprinkled over it.

Storm sighed, bending down the young male picked up the discarded stone. "I-" Storm squeezed the artefact. "I love you Nashi..." he trailed off wistfully, silence encasing him. The guards finally rounded the corner to face the alley Storm was in.
Creating a ice clone of Nashi he let it run ahead smashing the basement door open.

"There they are!" one of them called.

Storm smirked turning around to face them, cold black eyes slitted. "Yeah!" He said. "Here we are!" Spinning around he dashed into the basement entrance, guards following hot on his heels.

Be safe Nashi-sama... was the last thing Storm thought as the chase began
