Introduction:
I could feel the music coursing through my veins as the DJ shouted over the music into his shiny black mic. The guy I had been grinding on left me for a brief moment only to be replaced by a new one, only this one was a hell of a lot better looking. I couldn't hear what he whispered in my ear, but I could smell the alchol leeking off his breath. Shaking my head, attempting to agree to whatever it was he was trying to say, I felt his clamy hand grasped my wrist as he whisked me off the dance floor.
I was a pretty big deal. Not to sound cocky, or full of myself, but I was very well known around New York.
I had the best fake id, had gotten into some of the most exclusive parties, and have more friends then anyone at my private school.
Some one changed me, and probably for the better. I'm no longer the third wheel, or the stick in the mud.. Hell you'd be damn lucky if you even got asked to go to these clubs with me. That's how much I've changed since I met him. Yes, the mysterious bad boy who owns a club because his daddy paid for it. Bad boy, with a cocky smirk, and a sexy body. Also known as my childhood best friend. This dirty bastards name is Knos, and he is one hell of a kisser.
Four months before:
"Brinn! Last day darling, time to get up!"
Groaning loudly into the feather pillow, I rolled onto my back as I removed the lacy eye mask placing it on the black bed table. Turning off the small monitor that my mom used to call to me, I pulled the black silk covers off my soft skin, as I padded my way into my overly sized bathroom lined with vanilla secented candles, and fur pillows. The walls were an off-white while there was one signature black wall, and some black accents. Turning on the shower, the water gracefully flowed out of the showerhead as I dropped my nightgown walking in. After about fifteen minutes I felt refreshed and ready to start my last day of senior high at Eldwynn Prights Private School, how flattering that sounded, really. Rolling my eyes at the thought I threw my hair up into a towel on the top of my head and walked back into my room towards my walk in wardrobe. Grabbing a black mini skirt, and a beautiful golden blouse, I stalked over to my shoe side of the walk in closet where the black pumps with gold underneath called out to me. Snaking them off the bottom rack, I changed into a lacy black bra and matching thongs.
Last day, last day. I thought to myself as I blowdryed my long virgin brown hair, as I teased and curled it making it look daring yet modest. After applying the makeup, I gracefully grabbed my brand name purse off the back of a black wooden chair and walked through the two large doors towards the dawning staircase.
Walking into the dinning room, I took a seat at the far end of the expensive table as a waiter brought out several sets of trays containing various foods. Picking and pointing out what I liked the waiter placed each peice of food carefully on my plate, as another waiter filled my glass with orange juice.
"You ready to be out of that school, and on your own? Personally I think you should take an advancement year, maybe find that passion for a future career. You know you can't be successful unless you have a well paying job. Besides, your beautiful who wouldn't want you working along side them?" My typical preppy mother, always chirping on and on about my future, and goals that she had set up for me. I really didn't have a say, so I just sat back and agreed with her.
"Yes mother, I will look into. But, we had already talked about how the advancement year would keep me a year behind the others who are seeking jobs. It isn't right to put my career on hold while another snatches it up."
"Darling, nobody can snatch up your job if you don't even know what you want to be." Scoffing at her comment, I gulped down the rest of my OJ, and headed out to the limo awaiting to bring me to school. Without saying goodbye, I hopped into the back of the white limo and watched as our mansion became a speck in the distance.
