A Bad Boy's Dog.

So, I was very excited about this competition! I actually saw on the 28th of November and panicked...Heheheh.

Anyway! So I saw this and my immediate reaction was well...This is going to be fun.

So my title was decided upon straight away. After I picked my genre (which I decided to go for the most adventurous one.) The character however had a bit of a discussion along with the setting. The final decision was:

Mr. Calicos always enjoyed his job. Despite dreaming of becoming a police officer while a child; he found as time progressed his interest in law only increased. Like a flame ignited within him as the cold rain hammered the window. Sending cold shivers throughout the house hold. Sighing, he made his way towards the fireplace. His onyx orbs fixated onto the great aggression of the flame as it attacked the bricks. Slowly penetrating it's defences.

He loved his town. Catskills. He laughed dryly at the name. He always found the name of the town quite ironic. Considering he finds himself barking before thinking. As he sees it.

He always was outspoken, even since he was a boy. The urge to express his opinion would only build up. It was as if it was the bill...The bill he hasn't quite paid yet. The bill that is currently staring blankly at him as he passes the hall way. Although, he couldn't find it in him to pay the bill. The bill was from the neighbour -across the road- that claimed he destroyed there apple tree in "an lion-like manner." He disagreed. Of course he disagreed and he simply wasn't worried to express his opinion. He was an opinionated man after all, what could he say?

Mrs. Calicos didn't agree however. Then again, did she ever? Mrs. Calicos simply  shrugged it off nonchalantly. Claiming his strong sense of justice (that came from being a lawyer) made him more "energetic."

However, neither did she feel the need to pay the bill. Because I'm the end, she's just like Mr. Calicos. Maybe they're not so different after all.

But things became more complicated, one winters night. As the hail stroll the house was a force that could simulate an bomb, causing an explosion of emotions to erupt from both adults. The sound of panicked knocking flooded the house, causing Mr. Calicos to dash to the door. A worried expression plastered across his features. Grasping the cold door nob, he quickly opened the door. The cold air hitting viciously, causing Mr. Calicos to retreat almost like a wild, scared animal. Revealing a small boy, revealing a large, almost wolf life dog beside him. However, the bot showed no remorse. No emotions flicked across his gaze as he stared abruptly through Mr. Calicos.

"I have no use for him" His cold tone sliced through the air as he walked away.

Mr. Calicos stood, his eyes wide and his mouth agape. Before quickly shaking his head and pulling the door dog inside.

"It's okay. You're not the bad boy's dog anymore" he whispers soothingly. A chuckle escaping him as he looked at the small photo the other side of the room. Revealing the younger version of himself. Almost, a replica of the boy that once stood before him.
