A year and some change later...

"COME ON! WE HAVE TO GO NOWWW!" Anny was pacing back and forth getting her black robe dirty in the process.

"Don't pace! I am almost finished! Annnndd....done! Okok let's go!" Naomi finished her lipstick and jumped up rushing to Anny's small black car. When she got in she looked in the side mirrors. Make up. Check. Clothes looked clean. She was ready.

"Why do you always have to wait till the last minute to do stuff!?" Anny's voice said sounding frustrated "This is one of the most important days in our lives and we're gonna be late."

"Oh don't be dramatic Anny! We're not late...yet." Naomi laugh while Anny rolls her eyes in adgitation. As they swooped and weaved in and out of traffic. It wasn't long before they were parked outside the main building. They ran inside checking eachother as they went. The ceremony had already begun and people were beging called. They saw Dylan and James and went to sit with them.

"Where were you?! It started ten minutes ago!" Dylan's tone was filled with disbelief but before the girls could get a word in he shushed them and turned to face the podium where the principal was introducing another student. "Tell me about it later! Naomi you will want to see this."

Lifting her eyebrow and turning to face the same way, she saw what he was refering to and instantly dropped her jaw. Jean was dressed in the same long black robe as everyone else but his hair wasn't the eyecatching red that she had come accustomed to,  his hair was now a deep chocolate brown. Naomi couldn't believe her eyes at all! He looked fine as hell. She was so busy gawking that she hadn't even realized that Jean had been giving his speech. By the time she tuned in, it was over and her name was being called. Frazzled she shook her head and made her way towards the stage. Before she passed Jean he winked at her and smirked making her face redden. When she got to the podium the principal made a short announcement,

"And now Miss Naomi Brown will give her short speech and recieve her diploma." There was a short applause as she leaned towards the microphone. She had her speech in hand ready to go but she just felt frozen. Something felt off and she knew what. With a smile she crumpled the paper that was supposed to be her speech and threw it off the stage. There were momentary whispers and gasps of confusion before she cleared her throat to gain attention.

"Ladies and gentleman, my experience at this school was simply and absolutly, the worst." The crowd gave numerous reactions that brought a smile to her face.

"And it was the best. So many random things happened here that has made me learn many lessons. I don't want to stand here and talk about sappy things or about missing anyone and going off into the future. So I'll send this to all of you instead, unexpected things will happen everyday and if you try to prepare for those things then... it will pretty much get shittier. So instead, take those things head on and make the best of it. All of us are unexpected gems to this world so let's do our best to have a great time. Thank you." She walked over to the stunned teachers who reluctenly shook her hand and gave her the diploma. Naomi smiled as there was a sudden roar of applause and whistles from the crowd as she came down she was met by Jean who pulled her into a strong kiss.

"And with that class... um... class of  2020, go forth and do the best you can! You've made it through this chapter of your lives so walk into the next knowing that you have graduated highschool!"

Everyone at that moment threw their hats into the air and cheered.

"Congradulations Miss Brown." Jean playfully said.

"And the same to you Mister Porter" She kissed his lips and looked up towards the sky. A thought came to her that made her laugh uncontrollably.

"What are you thinking about?" Jean asked curiously.

"Hm? Nothing just how crazy this damn place is." She looked at him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Really? Cause I was thinking about how much I want to-"

"Keep the dirty talk to yourself!" James came from behind Jean and smacked his head while quickly running away. Jean cursed at him and kissed Naomi before running after James. She laughed and walked in the direction that they went off to. She came to a small clearing and reached down to pick up a dandelion. The scent made her close her eyes and smile. Looking up towards the sky she opened them and looked at the blue ocean above her.

"I made it mom. Please continue to watch me... this is only the beginning."

Setting down the dandelion she walked off into the warm air that filled her with life.
