ANNA'S POV

"Anna,are you listening?"

I felt somene's foot nudge mine underneath the table.When I looked up from my phone I saw Chanyeol play with one of his lip rings,trying not to laugh.

"Hmm? Did you say something?" I asked my friend Mira,knowing she's the only one that talks even if no one listens to her.

"I said you have a date tonight" Mira told me,her smile so big and bright that it blinded me.

"I think he's the one,Anna! He's just...perfect !" she continued with a dreamy look on her face

"If he's so perfect,why don't you keep him?" I asked iritated.

I was so sick and tired of this.For the last 2 years,my friends Mira,Skye and Andrea had made finding me the right guy their life mission.They don't know about Max or the reason I don't date and hate men.The only one I can tolerate is Chanyeol,the only guy in our little group,and that's probably because he's gay.Or I think he's gay.I don't remember hearing him talk about an ex girlfriend or seen him check out girls.I never asked,never cared.I knew he was Skye's best friend since kindergarden and even though he had that bad boy look,with all his piercings and tattoos,he was thoughtful,sweet and funny and he always watched out for Skye,our cute little airhead.

I felt another nudge and heard Chanyeol mask his laughter with a cough.

"You're not listening to me! You're spacing out again" Mira screeched.God,that voice of hers could break windows and crack mirrors.

"God,Mira,lower your voice! We don't have enough money on us to pay for the windows" Chanyeol said

I looked at him to thank him and saw that he was angry.His voice was calm,but there was a hardness in his eyes that i've seen a lot in the last month and I noticed his jaw was locked.

Mira ignored him and went on with the torture.

"You'll go,right?"

"If I go,you'll leave me alone?"

"Yeah" she answered eagerly

"For a month" I continued

"A week"

"A month"

"Fine" she finally relented

"Then ok,I'll go" I told her

I saw Chanyeol stand and leave the coffee shop without a word.

CHANYEOL'S POV

"I said you have a date tonight"

I almost dropped my phone when I heard Mira say that. I gritted my teeth so I won't bite on my lip ring until it bleeds.God knows I did that so many times in the last year and a half that Anna was worried it didn't heal right.

Please say no,please say no.

That's what I said in my mind every damn time one of them set a blind date for her.

"I think he's the one,Anna! He's just...perfect!"

I bite my lip so hard that I taste blood.That's what I'm afraid of,that someday she'll find Mr. Perfect on one of these dates and I'll never have the chance to tell her.

"If he's so perfect,why don't you keep him?" I heard Anna say

That's my girl.Tell her no,baby,say that you won't do this anymore.Say it and I'll take your hand,walk out of here and never let anyone hurt you again.

She was spacing out again and I wanted to hear har say no more that anything,so I nudged her again.Mira began screeching and Anna looked up at me,so I hid my anger with laughter.Mira's voice was getting on my nerves.

"God,Mira,lower your voice! We don't have enought money on us to pay for the windows" I said and Anna smiled

Mira,like always,was a woman with a mission.

"You'll go,right?" she asked

Please say no

"If I go,you'll leave me alone?" Anna asked back

God,no,I can't take this anymore

"Yeah" Mira said

"For a month" Anna told her

Maybe I can breathe again.Maybe I have a shot at this.Maybe,after 18 months,I won't need to be a pain junkie while I still have some skin uncovered by tattoos.Maybe I'll escape the need to feel the sting of the needles to mask the pain in my chest.

"Then ok,I'll go" I hear Anna say.

Off to the tattoo shop it is.I was blind as I walked out the door.This pain was always leaving me blind.
