There was a little fawn who had been told not to go to far into the meadow, she didn't listen after her father told her not to...even after her mother's death the week before. She ran through the tall-growing grass watching it get taller until she couldn't see her home behind her. Snap! She froze dead in her tracks. Riiiip! The smell of blood and rotting flesh filled her nose. She took a handful of steps backwards. Groooooowl! She turned and ran as fast as her little legs could take her and she ran right into her father as he stood in front of her as the thing that was chasing her stopped in front of her father growled again and swiped his paw at his head. Snap. Crack, thud... she watched in horror as the mangy, rabid wolf fell to the ground in a lifeless heap of flesh and bones. Her father turned around and he looked her square in the eyes "never do that again!! You heard what happened to your mother, didn't you?" She fell to the ground as she sobbed when a scene played over and over in her mind of her mother being killed by a pack of wolves. "I'm sorry I won't do it again!!" Her father walked towards the thicket and she reluctantly followed obediently, she laid in the corner of the thicket and she fell asleep
