Vince's POV

I wake early the next morning after the attack and look at Trixie. She's a beautiful she wolf and seems very kind. As well as gifted healer. But I'm surprised she lives here alone. I've heard stories about this forest how any wolf who enters is killed. Yet here we are, both alive. She said something about a spirit and still hasn't told me why she's here. And not with a pack.

Just then she starts to stir and I look at her face. Wanting to see what colour her eyes are. But I'm shocked to see smokey grey orbs.

Beatrice's POV

When I wake up I hear a gasp and sigh as I sit up. I go outside and re-leave myself before returning to the den. "Now you know why I'm here and not with my pack" I state.

"You're blind, but how?" he asks shocked.

"I was born this way" I say shrugging as I sit down.

"How did you come to live here?" he asks me as I feel him sit in front of me.

"When I was about eight weeks old, my mother brought me here. She'd known since I could walk that I was blind. Managed to keep it hidden from the pack until then. It was against the rules for me to even live that long. She knew if anyone could keep me safe it was Spirit. So she brought me here and left me here" I explain.

"What did you mean you're running out of time finding a mate?" he asks next.

"I am meant to remain here until my mate comes. But if I don't have one by my fourth birthday, then I will become a spirit and be Spirit's mate. I only have a little under four months left" I explain. (Vince appeared two months after the second chapter).

"Wow" he says.

"So what's your story? Why were you chased by rogues?" I ask him curious.

"I'm a future alpha and it's traditional for future alphas to leave the pack for a short time. To see the world to get inspiration for our first law. It's a journey we have to do alone. My pack is the biggest around and the rouges think if I'm dead. There will be panic in my pack and they could take over wipe them out. But thanks to you I'm alive and will return to my pack soon" he states.

"Well once you're all healed, you need to leave the forest anyway. Spirit does not like strangers" I tell him.

"I'd like to meet this spirit and thank him for saving my life" he states. Just then the wind howled around us and I smiled.

"He heard you and he says you're welcome" I translate. Just then I hear others enter the den. "Hello Robin" I say smiling laying down as his four kids climb over me happily.

"Hey Trixie, I was wondering if you could watch the kids? Alexa and I are going out for us time" he states.

"Sure, they're safe here" I say smiling. "Can you send Naughty in, I wish to go to the stream" I state.

"Of course princess" he says before leaving.

"Princess?" Vince asks confused.

"She's our princess" Mila states.

"Because she is raised by our lord and grand protector" Charlie adds.

"Vince meet the kits; Mila, Charlie, Rocket and Lex. Guys this is Vince" I say introducing them all.

"Nice to meet you sir" Charlie says.

"Are you and Princess going to marry?" Lex asks.

"No, she marry Spirit" Mila states.

"Uh uh" Lex says.

"Yeah huh" Mila says back.

"Kits it does not matter who I marry" I tell them smiling. "Now who wants to hear story?" I ask. They all cheer and sit in front of me.

"Can you tell us the story about the rogue who fell in love with omega she wolf?" Rocket asks.

"Of course, once upon a time lived a beautiful omega she-wolf and a handsome rogue male wolf. Both lived completely different lives. She was a kind loving she-wolf who helped raise pups. He a rogue male who lost his entire pack in a fire. Back then rogues won't allowed to join new packs and had to live as lone wolves or join a rogue pack.

One day they were out in the forest, he was hunting and she was enjoying a day off baby sitting duty. That's when they literally ran into each other. She apologized profusely, but he wouldn't hear any of it saying it was his fault. After then they'd meet in secret every other day. Until he asked her to run away with him so that they could start their own pack.

She agreed and they ran far from her own pack. Soon after she became pregnant and soon over lone wolves joined them. They settled down and form a territory. The former omega she-wolf became Luna and the rogue the alpha. Once they had pups the officially become a pack. The rogues first law was that any rogue can join the pack if proven safe. Soon other packs did the same" I finish smiling.

"Wow" Charlie and Mila say in awe.

"Princess are you ready to go to the stream?" Naught asks.

"Yes, come kits and Vince" I say getting up. We all leave the den Vince walking beside me Lex riding on my back like the lazy racoon he is. Once there the kids play in the shallows while I lay down dipping my feet into the pond.

"You know that story you told them?" Vince asks me as he lays beside me.

"What about it?" I ask him.

"That's my packs story, the omega she-wolf and rogue were my grandparents" he states.

"It's an honour to meet you" I say smiling. We soon return to the den and the kits take their naps. While I start to groom myself.

"You know, I'm amazed at how well you get around and how you know who enters the den without seeing" he states.

"Being blind has enhanced all my over senses. I know a deaf Badger and he has the best eye sight and sense of smell around. Others don't use them enough and don't know how much they rely on them" I tell him shrugging. "I hope your time here will help you create a honourable law" I add. I hear him hum in agreement as I go back to grooming myself.
