Motherhood is a beautiful thing. The mother holding her dear child smiling at the small infant, knowing she made this beautiful creature inside of her for nine months. The father joyful of the his child that they made through intimacy.
Luce's mother coos at her baby twins,Marcie and Lucie. The twins with their small eyes looking up at there mother. She could see these children was not her husbands, although, her husband was ecstatic of the twins.
"Oh darling! They have your eyes dear so blue and gorgeous. " the father says gently rubbing his daughters head with his finger. the mother knew the noses were of the man she slept with that was not of her husband. Luce was peacefully sleeping in the chair it being four in the morning when her water broke and they had to rush to the hospital with her son. He was extremely tired. He dreams of playing with his little sisters in the mud with him getting the dresses dirty and their hair in pig tails. They run around the yard playing tag chasing after each other. His dream was such a sweet childish dream. It's beautiful childhood.
They decided not to wake their son, otherwise he was gonna be extremely cranky. Thankfully after eight hours of labor the twins was absolutely healthy and safe...for now. The father wouldn't know until years later that those twins had nothing to be related to him.
Days later they were able to go back to the house and have a pleasant time. Happy family, having supper and Luce playing and holding his little sisters. Now his main goal was to protect his little sisters. After several months they start walking.
Luce hold Marcie' s hands slowly walking teaching her out to walk better as she smiled at him giggling.
"Come on Marcie you can do it! Come to Luce come on!" he says joyfully. He lets go of her hands and she wobbles slightly walking to where Luce is collapsing on him. Luce now being six could pickup his little sister enough to hug her. "Good job!" he sets her with Lucie and walks over to his mother hugging her. "What's for lunch mommy?" he asks trying to see on top of the counter.
"Sandwiches dear." she says making the food. Dad was at work at this time it being fall break for Luce. Although he loved first grade, he loved staying at home with his little sister and his loving mother. " Luce go play outside til lunch is ready okay? Your father should be here for lunch any minute now."
"Okay mommy!" he says running at the door with his blue zip up jacket. His mother sighed. She knew the father was going to find out one way or another those children weren't his. She put the cut up sandwiches on the table along with a large bowl of chips on the table. The sad thing was, they lived in the middle of no where in a sweet cozy two story house. AT least 15 minutes drive away from the nearest town. Both of the loving parents of Luce parents died a far long time ago so he had no grand parents to spoil him with sweets and candy. They saw their aunts and uncles during the holidays. Oh, her sister will be so upset if she finds out about the affiar she had! She loved her husband as if another brother. Seeming he was the only one ever to treat her right. Luce's mother wonders if she should just tell the truth about the twins.
" Mommy! Mommy! Daddy's home!" she hears her son shout with excitement.
"Well come on on dear and wash your hands." She says wiping her hands off on her apron. She walks outside smiling rightly at her husband that always seems to be in a cheery mood walking to the house. He gently cups her cheek giving her a peck on the lips.
"Hello my love how has your day been?"he asks.
"Wonderful. Luce is such a great little brother to his little sisters. " The father nods walking into the kitchen. He picked up and finger sandwich is wife had made.
"They don't have many of my traits, looks like yours are dominate this time with them." He says smiling warmly at his cheating wife.
His wife nervously responds,"Yeah I guess they are."
After Luce is done washing his hands he goes to the table and sits in specifically his chair an grabs sandwich off the plate while his parents are talking. He thinks about how if he eats fast he can go outside and play again, since his little sisters are fast asleep. Sooner or later he will find out his mother ruined everything, but he's such a mommy's boy.
