As the lads and I walk into the elevator of the hotel, we smile at all the girls who are in the lobby. They came here just to see us check in and most of them are yelling to us that they will be at our concert tonight. I turn around and smile at the crowd through the glass of the elevator. To my surprise, there is a girl walking around the others, trying to get to the main desk. She has light brown hair, which drapes over har shoulders like a veil. She's fair, medium height; she looks to be around seventeen.
"Harry," I say, putting my arm around his shoulders. "Do you see that girl over there?"
I point and he looks in that direction.
"The one at the desk?" he asks.
"Yes," I reply, nodding. "Do you think she's pretty?"
"Every girl is beautiful, mate. Do you think she's pretty?"
I smile softly and nod. She is pretty. Beautiful is the perfect Description for this mystery girl.
"You should ask her out," Harry goes on as we get off on our floor. "You saw her first anyways."
"I should, right?" I ask slowly.
I suddenly envision the girl in my arms as we walk along a beach alone, hand and hand. I see myself spinning with her before leaning in to kiss her. Niall snaps his fingers in front of my face, bringing me back to reality.
"You in there, mate?" he asks with a chuckle. "You were off on another planet just now."
"He was off in Pretty Girl Land," Harry jokes, laughing as he pats my shouler. "Go get her!"
"There are still lots of girls down there," I say defesively. "How would they feel if they saw me walk up to a girl and ask her out? They would be devastated!"
"And?" the lads say in unison.
"And.....fine! I'm going down there. I'll be right back."
I go back into the elevator and press the button for the lobby. The girls all release loud squeals and screams as I come out. I smile and wave politely as I try to get to the main desk. The girl is still there luckily.
"Hello," I say when I get to her.
The girl turns and looks at me with a surprised expression. Wow! she has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.
"Hi," she says slowly, looking over her shoulder briefly. "Wow, you're talking to me. there's no one behind me."
"Is there a problem?" I ask, grinning.
"No," she replies, shaking her head, making her hair shake like an ocean wave. "It's just.....you're Louis Tomlinson."
"Tommo to you. I grant you permission to call me Tommo. What's your name?"
"Jessie Chen...."
I smile softly, I've got another thought of us making out. Louis! Pull it together, you barely know her!
"Would you like to come meet the others?" I ask, motioning to the elevator.
"I wouldn't want to impose...." Jessie trails off, smiling.
"Oh, you know you want to!" I acuse her jokingly. "Come on, Jessie."
Her smiles broadens as she nods. I put my arm around her as we go to the elevator. To my surprise, the fans are all talking amongst themselves with excitement.
"That girl is so lucky!"
"Louis Tomlinson just asked that girl if she wanted to meet the others!"
"Prepare to become very popular," I say as the doors close in front of us. "You'll be getting loads of attention after today."
Jessie laughs softly. She has a nice laugh.
"Jessie," I go on, "the reason I came up to you was because I wanted to know if you wanted to go out. I didn't want to ask in front of all those fans."
"Like on a date?" she asks, looking at the floor with a shy smile.
"Yes," I reply, "a date. Would you like to?"
"More than anything......I know lots of people would die to be in my place right now. But let me tell you something, I don't go looking to get....you know? Like I'm not the kind of girl look for the spotlight."
"That must be the unknown reason I wanted to meet you so badly. Maybe fate is trying to tell me something."
Jessie smiles and looks at me. For a moment we stare into each other's eyes. Damnit, Tommo! I mentally slap myself, trying to restrain from kissing her. I dearly wish to do so. The elevator doors open and the lads greet us.
"Lads," I say, "this is Jessie Chen."
"Hello!" they say, smiling and waving.
"Hi," Jessie says, smiling timidly. "It's nice to meet all of you."
"It's Louis' pleasure," Harry replies jokingly.
"Haz!" I hiss under my breath. "Come on, Jessie, let's go see a movie."
"OK," she says softly, biting her lip.
I smile and pull her towards a stairway that leads to the underground parking lot. Once we are in the car, I feel more relaxed now that its just me and Jessie. Now that the lads are not near me, watching what I'll do or how I behave with her.
"What movie do you want to see?" I ask when we get to the theater.
"Hmm," Jessie says, looking over the selections. "I don't really see anything worth your money. Don't get me wrong, there's just nothing here."
"OK, then let's go somewhere else."
She nods and looks behind me. I turn and look at the girls heading our way.
"Jessie," i say slowly, turning back to her with a grin. "When I say 'go', start running. As fast as yur legs can carry you. Ready.....GO!"
We turn and start running with all we have. Jessie starts laughing when the other girls start to make disappointed sounds as they start to follow us. I laugh as we get away.
"That was both really awesome and kinda mean," Jessie says as we stop to catch our breath.
"Will a kiss make it worth it?" I ask cautiously.
"What?!"
"Woul you object to me kissing you?"
Jessie looks at me, blushing and in total surprise. I wait as she collects herself.
"You have my permission," she says smiling at the ground.
I chuckle and lift her chin gently to look in her eyes. She wants me to kiss her. I smile and lean in slowly; Jessie closes her eyes the same second I do. I don't take advantage of the moment, and pull away slowly.
"Why did you.... stop?" she asks, looking at me with a puzzled expression.
I grin and lean in again. Goal!
