When Diana opened her eyes, she was laying down, flat next to Akko. They were both toast now.

''Diana!? Why would you do that?'' Akko said, trying her best to look as far as she could to meet her lovers' eyes. Diana frowned. She wanted to hug and kiss Akko, but she had no arms, no legs. They were toast.

Diana's eyes began to water as she realized what she had just done, she hadn't even gotten to make love with Akko, or marry her. She wanted children, to graduate from Luna Nova and start a family of her own.

But she couldn't anymore. She and Akko were just two buttery pieces of toast, that would soon get moldy, and they'd die.

At least they'd die together.

At this point, the blonde didn't realize that full streams of tears were flowing from her eyes. It saddened Akko to see her lover in this state. The brunette wanted to comfort her, hug her, and embrace her.

But she couldn't.

''I'm sorry, Akko..'' Diana sobbed,

''I don't know what I did wrong...''

She really didn't. Maybe someone cursed the bread before she bought it. She wish she'd known. Just thoughts of the future that she won't get to experience, flooded through her mind.

''It's okay, Diana. You were just trying to do something nice for me before class.''

The two laid there, helpless pieces of toast.

Akko began to cry as Diana's sobbing made her sad. Akko had already accepted their fate as toast, but Diana hasn't.

Akko used every last bit of her energy to try and get closer to her lover. When she did, the feeling of their crispy toast ends rubbed against each other, comforted the two.

''I love you, Diana.''

''I love you, Akko.''

And with that, centuries passed, years and years went by, and the case of two witches named Diana and Akko was a houshold topic.

Everyone wondered what happened to them.

They were just two rotten pieces of toast.

The end.
