Smile [Bears Audio Emporium]

Don't leave.

I stop to catch my breath. How long have I been running from that thing? I try to remember what the creature looked like, but it hurt if I thought too hard. I laugh at myself. I can't even think without getting hurt, how weak am I?
In the distance I can see my boyfriend, Cedar Miles. Who is that walking beside him?  I soon recognise that bottle blonde hair. Fucking, Clara Joyce, brilliant.  I can hear her fake laugh from atleast, 20 miles away. Why is Cedar facing her now? Fuck. Did he notice me? I notice that Cedar has a look of disgust on his face when he sees me. Please don't leave me for her. Cedar turns back to Clara. Please. Stop. In the moment. I tried to scream, but no one can hear me. Clara has her arms around Cedar, I know what's about to happen, but I can't stop myself from crying.
Cedar kisses Clara. Instead of him closing his eyes, he's staring right at me. I try to break eye contact, but I can't move, it's like I'm in a trance. I always seemed to calm down when I stared into Cedar's eyes, but this time, it hurts me even more.
I wake up, nearly taking a full blown panic attack. What the fuck was that? What did I just see? Why Clara of all people?
I look to my left, I see Cedar, asleep. Holy fuck, how are you still cute while you're asleep? I feel relieved seeing him at my side.
"Bear?" I love calling him bear, it's literally what he is. The cutest, cuddly bear.
I hear a short reply.
"Hm?"
"I had a nightmare."
"Babe, no, are you okay?"
I notice the panic is his voice. I don't want to make him freak out, so I reassure him.
"I am now"
"Thank god."
There was a short pause.
"Can you hold me?"
I notice his immediate smile. God, I fucking love that smile.
"Of course, come here."
I turned around, so he can put his arm around me. I know I'm short, but I'm just the right size for us to fit perfectly. He's right behind me. I feel a wave of safety and comfort. I hold his hand while we sleep.
"Bear?"
"Yea?"
"Do you love me?"
"Babe, of course I do, why wouldn't I?"
"Do you promise?"
"Of course."
"Say it."
We both giggle.
"I promise, now, get to sleep babe."
"Goodnight, love you."
I feel Cedar kiss my head.
"I love you too Y/N."
