Chapter 6: The Fight Before...

I heard a gasp and I turned to look beside me. Andrew was looking at me with his mouth open, but no words came out.

“Hey, Andrew, are you okay?” I asked worriedly

He looked up into my eyes and said “Rylie, this is my favorite food!”

I was frozen in place for a minute letting that sink in then I finally realize what he said.

“Oh my word!” I exclaim.

Ethan and Andrew share a look worried look as the both turn to look at me.

“Ethan do you know what he just said?”
“Of course I know what he just said.”

I walk over to Andrew and wrap him in a tight hug, which he returns.

We then dig into the pizza. I notice that Andrew was staying a little distant from me and Ethan was giving him a weird look like he was trying to figure him out.

I got up and walked over to Andrew and sat down.

“Ethan why are you being like this?”

“Rylie I have no idea what your talking about.” Ethan replies with a smirk

“Come on! What has he done wrong?”
“Just wait he might. It doesn't mean anything just because he hasn't done anything, yet.” he says the last part a bit lower

“Would you just stop! Even if it's not forever, just do it right now.” then I add “For me, please.”

Ethan looked into my eyes and was shocked at what he saw.

“Ry, I'm so sorry. Please don't cry!” he said alarmed and conserned.

Andrew heard what Ethan said and turned to look at me. He looked the same way as Ethan. I set down my pizza and hugged him and didn't let go.

“Andy, please take me back.” I whispered in his ear

I assume he understood what I meant because he picked me up in his arms and carried me upstairs. But before he did I saw him give Ethan a look and Ethan nodded in response because he knew what was happening.

Andrew walked up the stairs and went straight to my room and into my safe haven.

He set me down on the chassie and sat next to me. I cried until I felt fully calm l. Andrew was rubbing my back which helped me even out my breath a little.

I turned over so now I was laying on my back. I looked up and saw that Andrew was staring at me.

“I'm sorry.” I whisper to him

“Don't be. It's okay. I'm here for you.” he whispered back

I gazed into his eyes and saw something I've never see before from him

We stared at each other until I heard something and I jumped up ready to fight someone.

Someone walked into the room. I didn't see who because the light was never turned on.

“Rylie?” came Ethan’s voice “I think it's time.” I knew what he meant immediately

I looked to Andrew then back to Ethan

“Can he come with us?”

“Rylie you know this is dangerous and I still don't trust him, as you know.”

“Well come on. I taught him something while we were downstairs.

He pondered that for a minute then spoke.

“Andrew, Rylie is far more advanced than I started out to be. I think if she taught you I suppose you can join us.”

“We leave in less than fifteen minutes. You both better be ready by the time we need to leave. Ry I need you in this one.” I saw in his eyes that this was different than last time and that he wasn't saying something, but I knew him too well. There was something he was trying to tell me and it was not for Andrew to hear. At that second I knew exactly what he meant.
We have a new threat on our hands and their in league with our enemies.
