"Lanya! Ava get up!" A loud voice yelled. I opened one eye and peeked around my room. I didn't see anyone there so I closed my eyes in attempt to fall back asleep.

My peace was disturbed and I was ready to start World War III when my duvet was ripped away from my body. "Avery Willow Mendiola get your lazy ass out of bed!" My mother yelled right above my head. I knew she wouldn't let me lay here too much longer.

"Ma! Let me rest! I have a while before my flight!" I whined. She started to hit me repeated with what felt like a cushion. I pulled my head under the pillow and groaned. She finally stopped hitting me and once again I was at peace.

Just when I got myself to relax with no interruptions. That was until I was suddenly freezing. My body was drenched.

I jumped up. "Ay! Mama!" I looked up at her with the large tin wash tub.She had her ' get your ass moving now' face on.

I put my hands up. "Okay! I'm up!' The sleeves to my sweat shirt were dripping. So was my golden hair. Mama raised her eyebrows in a telling way and walked out of the room. While she was walking out the door I caught a glimpse of her smirk.

"Crazy woman." I muttered shaking my head. I looked down at the large puddle that was left on my bed. After twisting my hair up, I sighed and left the room.

Down stairs my mother was in the kitchen making a pot of coffee. I went and kissed my nana who was on the rocking chair on the porch.

"Good morning, lovely." I kissed her cheek.

She just continued rocking in her chair. I sighed and sat near her feet. "Nana, you know I'm leaving today? I'm going all the way to the United Kingdom." I started fiddling around with whatever I found on the ground. "I got a scholarship for music and dance."

Even though she never replied, I still loved to talk to my Nana. "You're not gonna see me for a while. But I'll tell you this, I'm gonna be a big star. You'll see me on the t.v. one day." I smiled holding my weight up with my arms behind me.

"Ava, come wake your cousins, fen." Mama called.

I stood up and gave Nana one last kiss, "Talk to you later lovely."

After I had all six of my little cousins up I went down stairs for a cup of coffee. "Ma, what time is it?" I asked taking short sips of my hot drink.

"11:37" My grip on the cup tighten.

"Ma!" I whined.

"Nonono. Do not Ma me! I was trying to wake you for almost two hours! Now you're the one who chose to go to school all the way in the states. Now look! You're late..." She kept talking even while I was already in my room. I shut my door trying to block her out.

My damn plane leaves in less then a hour. Now I have to rush around for shit! I am so damn glad my bags have been packed for months. I laid out what I was gonna wear for today. A white crop top with my painted shorts. I set on my curling iron and turned on my hot shower.

It was now 12:14 and all I had to do was my make up. I was kneeling on the bathroom counter trying perfect my eye make up.

"Oi! Baby face! What the hell are you doing?!" Junior bust the door open.

"My make up! Get out!" I threw a bar of soap at him but he ducked just in time.

"Ma told me to drive you to the airport." He said holding up my ticket. By the face he was giving me it told me that he knew something. "Last time I checked London, England wasn't in the states." I looked away from the mirror and just stared at him.
