Man of Hope

Prologue

~ When a man loves a girl so much, he's willing to do anything ~

"I get it, Jack. I really do. You love her and...your not the only one who's gonna love her." Luke said, panting after running down the alter trying to put some sense into Jack before he married the one girl he loved.

Jack tilted his head as he fixed his straight and firm tie around his neck. "What do you want, Luke? Didn't I say you had to wait to talk to me. I don't want to see your face." Luke wiped sweat away from his forehead and stood there, fixing his jacket. "Look...all I wanted to say is..your not gonna another chance if you ever hurt her, Jack. She is everything any guy could ask for and she's sweet...caring..funny...she's...everything...I swear to god if you hurt her...I will end you...I'll break every..single bone in your body..but I know she loves you so much...so...please..I'm begging you..do something for me..." Luke said, as he gripped jack's shoulders desperately wanting him to listen to his favors.

Jack tapped his watch and waited, "You have five minutes to say what you want." Luke began to feel tears shred into his eyes before he began to speak. He cleared his throat and gulped, "Every morning..you better kiss her and tell her that she is everything and that your lucky to even be around her....every moment smile at her...make sure she's ALWAYS happy...always pick her over everything you have...no matter what..you stick with her through everything that happens...you got it?" Luke said with a demand and slammed Jack against the wall as tears flew down his cheeks. "Yeah, Yeah..jeez..Alright..I promise..god, so dramatic..." Jack rolled his eyes and walked to the alter.

Luke walked out of the church, before stopping and saw Jackie walking to Jack. The love he saw in her eyes as she stares at jack made him long for her to look at him like that. Maybe..just maybe..one day she'll feel that for him. Maybe she'll kiss him like every moment he died inside when he saw then even touch. He wished he could've been there for her even more just like he was every minute when she cried after being hurt by ever guy that's been with her. Every sob and wasted pills popped into her mouth, he helped her through everything she needed. If this man was gonna have her, he wanted to make sure he kept her feeling loved and feel not alone. To love every inch of her scars and flaws.

Yeah, he knew he'd be hurting to give her up, but if she was happy he was willing to give up everything for her. Even if it meant him not getting to touch her...Luke was right for her, but Jackie didn't see it. Maybe one day she would.
