It's another typical groggy Monday morning. I think Mondays are like this for everyone. Especially me, Addison. People just call me Adds. Yes, it is odd, but I like it.

I stretched and rolled out of bed to wake my little sister, Sadie, up for school. This was my last year of school and I was beyond excited. I had no idea what I was going to do after school but just the fact that I would not have to go back to public school after this year made me ecstatic.

I'm a somewhat ordinary 17 year old girl. I am a book worm and a straight A student. My intelligence came pretty natural to me. My parents were rich but didn't flaunt it. They taught my siblings and I how to work for the things we want and how to be thankful for everything we have. I am so thankful that is how we were brought up.

My parents died when I was just 15, making Sadie only 5. Life without them has been rough but I am thankful for my family that stepped up for us.

We live in our old (but fancy-ish) farm house with our Aunt Janet.  She has taken care of us for about two years now. The house wasn't the typical farm house; we had torn down walls aiding to the open concept my parents loved. But it still had a permanent smell of manure outside, and was in the middle of no where.

I slowly made my way down the stairs after pounding on my brothers door and calling my sisters name to wake them all up. They were very light sleepers so they usually woke up fairly quickly after the thud on their door and the sound of my voice. As I reached the kitchen, I saw my Aunt standing at the stove.

"Mornin." I mumbled to my Aunt Janet as she flipped a ginormous omelet.

"Morning, ma'am!!" she said cheerfully. I do not know how she does it, this alert and awake on a Monday morning.

"Please don't call me ma'am" I giggled and sat down at the island in the kitchen. Aunt Janet placed a plate with the ginormous omelet and 2 pieces of bacon on it. I thanked her and began to eat.

My aunt is a single 28 year old that didn't have any children. Well, she claims us as her own but she did not have any children that came from her. She absolutely loves my sister, brothers, and I even though we annoyed her 99% of the time. I could tell she wanted a child of her own which makes me feel guilty as we became her burdens after my parents passed.

"Have you called back the hunk that called you the other day?" I winked at my aunt as she gave me a death glare.

"As a matter of fact, I did... I will be going out to dinner with him tonight!" She gave me a huge smile.

"Ooooo, do you think he could be a potential boyfriend?" I asked with a gigantic grin on my face.

"Possibly." She ended the conversation there when she saw Dylan and Logan walk down the stairs. They are my brothers. They are identical twins. Logan is three minutes older and he makes sure everyone is aware of that. They're 16 years old and the schools "hotties". I, honestly, do not know what's so hot about them. They both have dark brown hair, paired with blue-ish, gray eyes and were kind of muscle-y. I just think they're gross and they stink. Saddie and I look similar to the boys, dark brown hair and they same exact eyes. Saddie is now 7 years old and a little pistol. She is the best little sister ever, though.

After we all were ready for school the boys got in the truck and sped down our long driveway. Apparently I wasn't cool enough to ride with and they would rather waste their gas. Sadie and I hopped in my Jeep and followed the dust trail left by the boys down the long winding driveway.

Our school was very very small. The town it was in, Pion, was not even considered a town but a village. It was so small that all of the grades in school were in one building. There were maybe 200 kids in the high school which meant everyone knew everyone.

School went by so so slow. We had started school a few weeks ago, making it the middle of September. The cool breeze blew through the open window of my last period class. I live in Ohio where you can experience all seasons in one day. Luckily, today was a warm breezy day.

After school, I sat outside on one of the benches reading one of my favorite books, Looking For Alaska. Sadie had a band lesson after school and I was her ride home.

"Is anyone sitting here?" I looked behind me and there stood a tall, very attractive, man... boy? I couldn't tell.

"Uh, no.. Go ahead." He sat next to me as my face remained buried in my book.

"You read much?" He asked, trying to spark a conversation.

"Uhm, yes, a fair amount..." I peeked above my book. He grinned as my face started to turn the color of my red sweatshirt.

"I am Jackson," he stuck his hand out. I gave it a stern but graceful shake. This couldn't be the Jackson Pierce who graduated a few years ahead of me, was it? He was the school flirt and "got around" or so everyone said. But I had to admit, he was super attractive.

"I think I know who you..." I stopped myself before I sounded stalker-ish, "Uh, I am Addison, but people call me Adds."

"Nice to meet you, Addison" He smiled a very gorgeous smile at me, "Aren't you a Senior?"

"Yes..." I paused as I tried to gather my thoughts, "Uh.. Haven't you graduated?"

He nodded his head, "I'm picking up my brother but he's running a bit behind," he winked at me, "but yes, I am out of this hell hole."

I smiled and nodded in agreement. I feel the same exact way about this place.

"OOOO, ADDS HAS A BOYFRIEND" Sadie shouted, skipping past me.

Blushing again, I turned to Jackson, "Haha uh, sorry about her. That's my sister Sadie. I better be going. Bye." I rushed to pack my things and leave.

"Aw, thats ok," Jackson laughed, "I will hopefully see you again soon."

I looked back and grinned at him as I headed to the parking lot with Sadie's hand in mine.
