You lay in your hospital bed, tired, you had been in labour for 3 hours last night. You were watching as your husband, jack sat in the chair next to your bed, holding your newborn daughter in his arms. Your heart melted at the sight, "she's beautiful, just like her mummy" he smiled brightly, looking at you then back down at your daughter.

Suddenly your mum walked through the doors to the maternity ward, where you were located. She held your 3 year old sons hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other hand, looking around the ward, until your son spotted you "Mummy!" he shouted, gaining your attention along with other mothers, "(Y/S/N), be quiet" your mum tusked, causing you to giggle quietly.

"How are you feeling, Caitlin?" your mum asked, placing the flowers in a vase on your hospital table, "I'm doing ok, just sore" you smiled, attempting to sit up, hissing in pain.

You admired the flowers in the vase, as your mum helped your son up on your bed, before jack handed (Y/D/N) to your mum. "Thanks for the flowers, mum, they're beautiful" you smiled, wrapping your arms around your son, hugging him. "She has your eyes Caitlin" your mum smiled, rocking (Y/D/N) in her arms.

"Mummy?"

"Yeah?" you asked looking down at your son, "can I hold my sister?" he asked looking at your mum as she handed your daughter back to jack, "Ask daddy" you smiled placing a kiss in his soft, brown hair.

Jack handed (Y/D/N) to your son as he sat on your bed, cross legged, he was supporting her head with bis arm and his body in his crossed legs, he gently kissed her forehead before looking up at you and Jack, as you spoke.

"I want to come home" you whispered as he leant down, placing a kiss in your hair, "I know, I'll go home and get the car seat and I'll come back and sign you out" you nodded as you kissed his lips before pulling away, looking down as you watched your son as Jack walked out of the ward, car keys in hand.

You had been waiting for him to come back with the car seat for (Y/D/N), you couldn't wait to get home, you sat in your bed talking with your mum as your son held your daughter, he started to panic when she began to cry "it's ok, I think she's just hungry" you calmed your son down, your mum stood from her chair, taking your daughter from him before handing her to you as you adjusted your hospital gown, allowing you to breast feed (Y/D/N).

Jack came back as you were part way through feeding her, he placed the chair on the chair he was sat previously, "where's your mum and (Y/S/N)? He asked, looking around confused causing you to smile, "She took him to the cafeteria while I fed her" he nodded, "ok, that's good" you removed your daughter, handing her to jack "burp her" you requested, he nodded holding her to his shoulder, patting her back gently as you sorted your gown out.

Finally you were home, you walked through the front door following Jack as he carried your daughter in her car seat, he walked into the dining room, placing her chair on there before undoing her belt and unbuttoning her pink snow suit, as it was middle of winter. He picked her up, carefully before walking to where you sat in the living room, he sat next to you holding your daughter in one arm as he wrapped his free one around your shoulder, pulling you into his side as you played with her foot through her baby grow, your son went home with your mum until later on.

You were happy to have some time to yourself and Jack with your daughter, but you had missed your son while you were gone, even though it was only one night. "I love you, both" he kissed your hair, before leaning down to kiss your daughters nose, causing her to scrunch her face up before rubbing her face with her mitten covered hand, causing you and Jack to laugh, "she does what you do" he laughed pointing out what you used to do whenever he kissed your nose, "mummy's angel" you giggled kissing his cheek before resting your head on his shoulder, both of you looking down at your daughter.
