Chapter 5---New York City

Zayn's POV:

The streets were very bustling with all the traffic and broadway shows that was advertised. After almost a hour of traffic, we drove into a private parking lot that was half-way full. We got out of the van and walked down into a underground tunnel that led to a subway.

"We're taking a...subway?" I asked right when one of the long subways ride up for our arrival as a fat plump rat scattered its way out of the doors. I wrinkled my nose in disgust while entering the subway. The overwhelming stench of scat and food lingered in the air. I took a seat on a mustard colored seat that had some stuffing coming out of it. Behind me, Liam and Niall sat looking up at the map that was placed on the wall besides me.

"No more splitting up. We all stay together" Jimmy confirmed sitting besides one of our new bodyguards, Andrea. Across from my seat, Harry and Louis played ISpy.

"I spy with my little eye....something yellow" Louis said smirking at Harry. He tapped his chin observing the subway and finally understood what it was. "The seats!" Harry beamed pointing over at my seat. Louis nodded. "Your turn".

"I spy something....black...and tall" Harry said sitting up in his seat watching Louis try to piece together something. "Ummm...the poles?" Louis asked pointing to the poles that was in front of us for people who stood up hanging out to them. Harry shaked his head.

Louis looked around again and then gazed over at me. His eyes shot up and turned back to Harry. "ZAYNS HAIR!!!" Louis screamed and Harry clasped his hands together. My cheeks got red in embarrassment.

"Ding ding ding" Harry yelled patting Louis's head. "Don't take it personal, anyone would kill for your hair" Harry commented over at me winking. I half-way smiled. The subway stopped and we got off. I walked along with Andrea.

"Hi, I'm Andrea" She kindly smiled and put out her hand and I shook it. "Zayn" I grinned over at her. "C'mon keep walking" Jimmy commanded us to walk. We started to walk again but something about Andrea made me just, smile.

When we got to the top of the staircase out of the underground, we started walking over where the road trailed away from the city. "I thought we were going to stay in the city!" Louis said baffled looking back at the lights and stores. Jimmy shook his head guiding us out of the city and out where trees and houses where located.

There was a wooden empty abandon house on the side of the road and Billy told us to go into it. "What if it has...bugs? I don't want my hair to get infested!" I argued patting my hair and slimming back the blond streak. Andrea guided me into it and told me it'll be alright. Something about her just made my stomach get into butterflies...

Jimmy opened the door and we entered as we sat on wooden chairs while staring up at Jimmy and Billy for instructions. "This is our meeting place for this mission and the van will be driven over here. Ok, let's get down to business" Billy said taking a seat and moving it in front of us watching each of us tentivily.

"We will go back to the city as long as you guys behave!" He warned us pointing his plump finger at us with a serious face. "Now, we'll go and investigate at a coffee shop-"

"STARBUCKS?" Louis beamed sitting up straight by me. Billy nodded as Louis started getting jumpy. "Only if El was here..." He muttered looking down at his TOMS and back at Billy.

"Well anyway, lets go and investigate there and make sure you lads don't have too much to drink. Caffeine will make you hyper and awake" Jimmy told us as we all stood up walking out the door and back into the breezy and sunny day outside.

Amdrea walked by me and Harry while we walked back into the city. Taxi cabs where scanning the streets looking busy as ever while we crossed paths and went into Starbucks. We all took a seat at a large table and ordered coffee. By us, there was a cute familiar baby that kept staring at me with adorable glassy eyes. I grinned at it back and it shook its rattle in ambition.

"She is adorable" I told the mother and she smiled blushing. "Why thank you. Say thank you Lux" The mother said making a baby voice pointing at me and looking down at the baby whose name is Lux.

"HAI!" Lux said high pitched smiling widely reaching her hands up. Lux...that seemed like a very similar baby name I know. "Zainnnn" Lux purred at me and j raised my eyebrows surprised she knew my name.

"How does she know..." I trailed off looking into the mothers eyes as she smiled at me. "I knew you were gonna be here" The mother mumbled picking Lux up and cradling her looking at me suspiciously.

Jimmy glanced over and eyed the mother raising his chin. She grinned as Lux clapped her little hands happily. "Hello Agent Atkins" Jimmy said walking over my the mother and Lux.

"Do you have the information for us?" Jimmy smirked down at Agent Atkins and she was about to take the rattle out of Lux's hand lightly until someone scoops her out of her hands and running out of the coffee shop with her. "LUX!!!" The mother screamed about to run up but I was already there.

I jumped out of my seat and ran out of the store with Jimmy following. The kidnapper was running with Lux on the sidewalk but I was close by him. Suddenly, instead of walking for the car to pass, he jumped on the hood and jumped onto a taxi's hood with Lux.

I jumped onto the taxi hoods as well following close by the perpetrator. When the guy jumped off the taxi's hood he jetted for the other stores until I grabbed his hoodie and wrestled his grasp of Lux and held her in my arms as Jimmy got the guy.

The guy was in a purple hoodie and angry down at the ground. "Next time, don't mess with a Agent's child buddy" Jimmy said taking the kidnapper to the police station and after that, we took Lux back to Starbucks where Agent Atkins looked worried until she saw Lux's rosy cheeks.

I handed her over to the mother and she held her with worried tears in her eyes. "Thank you so much for saving my delightful Lux" She smiled tickling Lux's belly as Lux did a soft giggle.

Agent Atkins took Lux's rattle out of her grasp gently and opened the pink circle up and a little slip of paper was in it. She handed it to me and I read it quietly to the lads. "Mighty H has Eleanor and has twins of the lads. Harry's twin is Edward, Louis's twin is William, Niall's twin is James, Liam's twin is James and my twin is...Jawaad" I read it and wrinkled my forehead handing it over to Jimmy and wrote the note on my hand-held as well did Liam.
