The princess of Plaveira island was known for her anger. Once, she went to the extent of giving death sentence to her one and only best friend because the latter chose to have dinner with her boyfriend and not accompany the princess for her perming.... but thankfully, due to the King's kindness, the young girl was saved from her horrifying end.
The king decided to let his only child explore the country and understand the people . He ordered his most trusted minister to take care of the matter and asked his daughter to dress in civil clothes so as to blend in with the common folks.
And that day, she went out, with the old minister following her carrying her supply of necessities. Her first destination was obviously the market place... le marche de Plaveira .
Grenalia street.
Three blocks away from the main gate of the street , a small house built of wood surrounded by a beautiful rose garden and a small swing , also made of wood, was occupied by a 24 year old carpenter and his son. The man looked exceptionally good, tan skin, really tall, expressive eyes ., looked hot when he didn't smile but killed hearts when his lips curled upwards....something that could only be made possible by his adorable 2 year old son, Kenshin.
Kai. Kai and Kenshin . Kenshin and Kai. The two were the only one's for each other. A rather cute father son duo. Even though Kai looked really happy and satisfied, the young man's heart held lots of grief. Those sad feelings suddenly, somehow, vanished when his baby came to his sight.
Byun Baekhyun was the only one person Kai had normal conversations with. That was because Baekhyun knew Kai since his childhood and also knew almost everything about the young man. Baekhyun absolutely adored the pair. He had heart eyes whenever he was with his friend's son. The baby reminded him so much of his younger friend. Also, Baek's wife couldn't become pregnant , still he loved her a lot. He and his wife was always there to help Kai and Kenshin.
'' Kenshin-ah, appa is going to make a chair. Do you want to watch your appa or go to sleep?'' the tan skinned man spoke making gestures so that the child could understand what his father was trying to say.
'' appa...no s..sllleeeppue...kenchi...watch appa'' Kai smailed at his son's cuteness . He nodded and carried the child to his workshop just behind his house, just like he always did when the child wasn't sleeping or when uncle Byun wasn't there.
'' Ok then kenchii . Wait, I'll get your sweater.'' Kai ran to their bedroom to get his son's sweater. It was mid december, hence the weather was a bit too cold .
The man tried looking for it in the usual place but found nothing except his own jumpers and work clothes. He looked everywhere and started to get a bit annoyed when he couldn't find it. He finally gave up and went to his son , who was sitting on the cushioned chair with his little thumb in his mouth..'' appa no findy?'' the baby raised one of his eyebrows while his father scrunched his nose and shook his head indicating that his son was right.
'' We'll go get one for you. Your old one was ruined anyways. Come, let's go. But you'll still be cold when we go outside . ugh...'' he looked very disappointed. That was when he remembered that there was this one warm woolen pink shawl he had in the back of his cupboard. Excited, he ran back to the bedroom to get the shawl. His eyes brightened when he saw the pink piece of wool in the cupboard '' Kenshin-ah...appa got something for you so you won't feel cold...hoorayy''
The child didn't understand anything but caught the word hooray. So he giddily yelled back a soft yet loud '' Hooooorrrayyy'' .
Kai smiled at his baby and got him wrapped up in the shawl. They got ready to visit the market place, where anything and everything could be bought at an affordable price.
