Recap:

We walked over to the mats laid out for the sit-ups. "You ok?" I asked her.

"Better now," she started, "He kept calling me Tessa for some strange reason, Do I look like a Tessa?" The puzzled look on her face was adorable.

"No, you are exactly how I envisioned a y/n to look," I said but only more beautiful. I added in my head.

-Time jump end of the school day-

-Y/n's point of view-

I shut my red locker and turned around to find Tom standing behind me. "Are you stalking me now too?" I said laughing.

"Yes," he responded with a sarcastic grin. "Can I walk you home?"

"If you didn't, I probably would end up on the wrong side of town," I responded smiling.

We walked out of school and down the street. Tom kept glancing at me out of the corner of his chocolate brown eye, I caught him once and laughed. "What? Do I have something on my face?" I said trying to sound serious.

"No, not at all."

We made it to my front door he turned to me and asked, "Can I, uh, have your number so you can tell me when you need a tour guide to walk you to school, or anywhere else in town?" He said nervously running his hand through his hair.

"Of course," I said with a smile.

Holy guacamole Tomas flipping Holland wants MY number!

We traded phones, I took a stupid selfie as my contact photo, put in my number, and went to his camera and took a few more funny selfies. Tom handed back over my phone. "I thought that I would have had to distract you to have a chance at getting my phone back," I said with a laugh referencing this morning's schedule incident.

"Same time tomorrow morning?" He asked with a smile.

"Definitely," I said.

I turned around and walked towards my door, I was smiling so hard it made my cheeks hurt. I looked over my shoulder and saw Tom waving from his doorstep. I waved and went inside. Holy guacamole he totally likes me. I thought. Today was the best day of my life. The endless game of he loves me, he loves me not finally came to an end.

-Tom's POV-

I opened my heavy front door and looked back at her. Just like in all those romantic movies Alexa made me watch, she was looking too. I waved and went inside. Once the door shut, I lost my cool. I started jumping around and fist pumping the air. She totally likes me.

-Time skip two weeks later- (still Toms POV)

The two weeks that I have known y/n have been the best days of my life. I wake up no longer in a cloud of depression but a cloud of excitement. It's nice to feel normal again. Every minute that I am with y/n the hole that Alexa left in my heart slowly, but surely is being patched up. I rolled over in bed and picked up my phone.

To: Y/n

T: Good morning!

Y/n: Morning

Y/n: Meet you outside in 30?

T: see you soon!

The one thing about my relationship with y/n that made me kind of mad, at myself at least, is the fact that I haven't formally told her that I like her, I mean we both know that we like each other; even my friend who never picks up on anything texted me last night asking how it was going with y/n. He insisted that John, who knows how I feel about y/n, hadn't said anything to him.

I looked back at my clock and realized that it was 8 am. Shit, I thought. I am supposed to be outside by now. I ran downstairs grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. Y/n was standing at the start of the walkway to my front door. "Hey sorry I'm late," I said.

"It's fine, I just came out anyway." She said with a smile.

We started walking to school and I decided that it was now or never. "Hey, err uhm," I started. Stop sounding like a fucktard you know what you what to say just say it. "Do you want to go out with me?" Come on was that really so hard?

I looked back at her trying to figure out what she was going .
