"I have to leave here?!," I screamed at Amanda.
"Yes. Im so sorry Gryffin," she said, her voice sounding bored. "Your new family is so excited though."
"How did they even pick me? How did they even get me!?," I yelled at her. "Im not just some animal that gets house hopped!"
"I know, they are very fun, I promise you. You leave Sunday morning."
"I dont want to go live with some random boys. I dont want to go with some rich stuck up strangers!," I sobbed. "Why them? And why do I only get 3 DAYS notice!?"
"You dont have anywere else to go," she snapped. Something in her tight, bitchy face looked like she wanted to say more, but she hardened back up.
"Dont be a bitch about it, Amanda," I snapped back. I stormed back to my hospital bed and whipped the curtain shut. I needed time to think, and get sane. I cuddled up to Tux.
Saturday night, the night before I left, I finally pulled myself together enough to tell Ashton what was happening. Amanda dropped me at Ashton's, staying parked outside to make sure we didnt run off. Ash's mom was out with friends for the night.
"Gryffin Ariana McCallen, I love you," he said, mumbling between our kisses. He had my against the wall, my legs wrapped around his waist, his hands under my butt. I just wore spandex, my sweatshirt and bra lying on the floor next to us. I knew where this was headed; the same place it did at the party. Ash pushed my down on the bed.
"Do you want to do this, baby?," he asked, sucking on a spot below my ear.
"Yes," I said, breathing heavily. "I love you so much."
Ashton pulled off my shorts, and I eased off his jeans. This was going to be the best.
Ashton, fell next to me, and we cuddled up together.
"That was amazing," I said. But I knew I had to tell Ash now. I started to cry.
"Gryff? Gryffin whats wrong?," Ashton sat up as I did. "Are you ok?"
"No, Ashton, we need to talk."
"What going on?," he asked nervously, his Aussie accent coming out strong.
"I got adopted," I sobbed. "I have to move!"
"What? Wait, what?," Ash said, panic coming through his voice. "When did this happen?"
"I found out Thursday morning," I said, sobbing into Ashton's chest. He tensed.
"What? Why didnt you tell me?"
"Its been hell, Ashton! I-I-I have to go to London tomorrow."
"London. LONDON?!," he said, pushed me away, holding my skinny shoulders. A few tears rushed down his now pale cheeks and. "And tomorrow? Why the fuck would you not tell me about this? What the hell did you do all day Thursday, Friday and today!?"
"I could bring myself to tell you! I could barely break it to myself, Ashton! I've been packing and saying goodbye to my old life!"
"You little slut," he said softly. "You just had to get with me one more time, didnt you? What, were you afraid Id be mad and not sleep with you? That's the shallowest thing Ive ever heard."
"What?," I said, getting up and raising my voice. "You should know me well enough to know that I would never do something like that! I though you knew me."
Ashton started to cry harder. "I thought I did, too."
"Ash, this has been so hard for me to cope with. I lost everything."
