Hydro stood there staring at the corpse of king Pyrus. The blade dug deep into his back. Blood still poured heavily from the fatal wound. King Glacier, king Aqua, and King Pine landed next to Hydro. They dipped there heads.

There was silence.

Suddenly there was a commotion. It soundrf like a fight broke out. A group of dragons emerged from the crowd. They were surrounding a single dragon, pushing her along. They forced the dragon into the center of the large crowd. There were gasps of surprise. It was the king's adopted daughter, Umbra. She was one of the few remaining night dragons. Her hands were covered in blood. The lead dragon spoke, "This is the killer!" Hydro looked confused. Why would Umbra want to kill Pyrus? Someone from the crowd yelled, "What's your evidence?" The lead dragon walked over to the body. He grabbed the handle of the blade and pulled it out. Along the blade was the symbol for night. It also had Umbra's name inscribed on the hilt. Umbra snarled, "I killed Pyrus, and I killed Shadow as well. You fools believed that the murders were the work of each other. While you pathetic weaklings have been fighting, my associates have already killed the other kings. This couldn't be possible. Aqua, Glacier, and Pine were ri- they were gone. They had vanished. Umbra laughed. She suddenly bolted towards Hydro. He stood frozen. This was a mistake. She snatched the crystal from his neck. She opened her claw to reveal all the other Crystal's. She touched them all together before someone could grab her. There was a blinding flash. Where Umbra had stood, was now a swirling spire of shadow. Her eyes glowed red amidst the storm. She raised her paws with one blow, she cracked the earth in half. Dragons fell in the new canyon by the hundreds. This was the end. Dragons backed away, eyes wide with fear. Umbra's mouth opened wide, releasing a stream of shadowy flame. Any dragon it touched crumbled to ash. They began screaming and pushing through each other to get away. Hydro looked back at Umbra to see the flames aimed straight at him. Then, everything went black. His whole body burned. His wings felt too heavy to lift. He saw a light in the distance. As it got closer, Hydro realized that it was a dragon. It appeared to be made of light. It was Blaze. Another light approached. Is was Chameleon. They both smiled. Blaze went forward and touched the top of Hydro's head with her snout. From the point she touched, a light spread. Traveling through his veins, it covered his whole body. He was now a spirit dragon, his soul had passed on. He was dead.
