Even with the clanging of the dishes downstairs, I keep my attention on my music and my computer screen.

Clicking the end of my pen, I stare blankly at the essay that's due tomorrow,  I have been procrastinating all week and still haven't come up with an intro but all i've come up with is "Today I am going to be talking about Laws and Regulations" how boring.

If I hand in another essay late this month Mrs. Porter's definitely gonna give me a detention. My dad would flip his shit and possibly put me in some boarding school in mexico. At least i'd be away from him for the rest of high school though.

I hearmy dad drop a dish on the floor followed by "Shit!" knowing what was coming, I walk downstairs to find my dad fuming, old man gets mad over everything.

He looks over to me and roars in my face "Gray, you should've fucking done the dishes like you were supposed to!"

"I'm sorry I just had a lot of homework and-"

He cuts me off by pushing me making me fall hard onto the ground. I feel my head smash on the hardwood floor and a couple of bruises starting to form. I hold my head hoping that the pressure will help with the throbbing pain.

He kneels down to my level and grabs my arm, yanking me up so my face is leveled with his.

"Do the fucking dishes." he snarls and gets up and walks away

Seeing no dirty dishes left in the sink i decide to go for a walk so i can get away from him for a while.

I guess i'm not gonna get time to finish my essay tonight.
