I froze but soon kissed back. I guess she had realized what she'd done and pulled back.
"I am so sorry I jus-" She began to say.
"Nah you good." I replied nonchalantly. Her cheeks were red so she looked down at her hands in embarrassment. I placed my hand under her chin and turned her head towards me. I looked at her for a second the brought my lips to hers.

"Come on y'all gotta go to bed." I said walking into Maya's house. Roni had fallen asleep on the couch while Jojo played with random stuff in the kitchen.
"Thank you so much for watching them." I said to Maya as she walked down the stairs.
"You know I got you girl." She said. I handed her the last 20 I had in my pocket. I walked over to the couch.
"Roni wake up." I said shaking him. He slowly woke up.
"Come on we gotta go." I spoke. He nodded and put on his shoes. We left the house and went back across the street to ours.

I sat on the couch tapping my foot anxiously as they carried my nana's dead body out of the house.
What am I going to do. I'm sure Don killed my Nana. I can't go to the police or anything. I have no evidence. I'm sure X is gonna go beat Don up again. Which is going to make stuff worse.
Speaking of X. I can't face him after last night. It's not like anything bad happened but it'll just be awkward. I don't know why I kissed him. Heat of the moment I guess.
"Excuse me? Ma'am?" The man asked snapping me out of my thoughts.i looked up him.
"We're all done. We can't take the bed because that's not our job." He said before walking out.
I got up and went to my room.
