Lauren Jauregui breathed deeply. She hadn't seen Camila Cabello in almost four years, and she thought that she was completely over the girl that had stolen her heart years ago. Now, at the happiest time in her life thus far, she has reappeared.

"Um, hi. I didn't expect to see you here tonight, Lo." Camila said, shyly.

"Yeah, me neither." Lauren breathed out.

From behind her, Lauren heard Erica calling out to her. "Lauren, oh my god Alexa is totally hooking up with that creepy guy we met a couple hours ago." She plopped down next to Lauren and gave her a funny look. "What's up Jauregui?" Lauren turned to face her, then turned back to Camila.

"Um, Erica, this is Camila. We sort of knew each other in high school." Lauren managed to get out. "Hi Camila," Erica said with a drunken smile on her face, "I'm Erica, Lauren's best friend!" Giggling, Erica stumbled back onto the dance floor, mentioning seeing a cute boy, leaving Lauren alone with Camila.

"They forgot your rum and coke." Camila commented.

"Why are you here, Camila?" Lauren said, blatantly ignoring Camila's attempt to distract her.

Camila looked down. "Well, after getting kicked out of UCLA, I had only one place to go, home. I swear I didn't know you were going to be here tonight." Camila said, trying to force a smile.

"Really Camila? Were you really not sure? Because-"

"Lo, right now isn't a good time. You're drunk off your ass and we need to get you home. Do you want me to drive? I haven't been drinking much tonight." Camila said, while soothingly rubbing Lauren's palm.

Lauren pulled away, slamming her hand against the bar. "No Camila! I don't need you to fucking babysit me. You stopped being able to do that when you ignored me for four whole god damn years." Lauren shouted, getting hardly any weird looks because the music was so loud and everyone was too drunk to care.

Camila sighed, wiping sweat off of her brow as she did so. "I'm sorry, I get it. I just didn't think your friend seemed in any state to take you home, that's all."

Before Lauren could say another word, Brad came up behind her and hugged her. "Hey baby, come on let's dance some more." Lauren turned around and roughly kissed him, longer than she usually would in public. She then turned to look at Camila. "Camila, this is Brad, my boyfriend," Camila raised an eyebrow, "yes my boyfriend. He's completely sober and he's going to drive me home." With that, Lauren stood up, stumbling a little, and walked off with Brad. Camila stared at her as she walked away, biting at her lip.

The rest of the night was a haze of alcohol, kissing, bright lights, and laughing. Lauren eventually forgot about seeing Camila, after a couple shots of vodka with Vero. By the end of the night it was about 5 in the morning and she was dragged home by Brad, who thought she definitely had had too much to drink. He dropped her off at her apartment, and kissed her gently.

"Who was that girl you were with tonight?" He asked.

Lauren giggled, kissing him again.

"No really? I haven't seen her before." He asked again.

"She's no one." Lauren slurred, her angry drunk side coming out.

Brad looked at her weirdly, and paused at the doorway when he left. After he was gone, Lauren passed out on the couch, only waking up when Vero arrived home a half hour later, trying to quietly tip toe to her room.

Lauren awoke the next afternoon, a headache pulsing through her skull. She reached down to grab her purse off the floor. She sifted through the bag, hoping she hadn't left her phone at the club. She felt her phone and pulled it out. With it was a small piece of paper folded up many times. Lauren curiously unfolded it. It read:

"Lo, I really hope you see this. Tonight didn't go very well, but I really want to see you again and talk things out. You have my number. - Mila"

"Ooh what's that Lauren? A secret admirer?" Vero laughed.

Lauren dropped the letter. "Fuck Vero, I didn't know you were there."

"Let me see it!" Vero said, while trying to grab the note from Lauren.

"It's nothing. It's not for me." Lauren said, pushing Vero away from her.

Vero shrugged her shoulders, and walked into the kitchen to make some lunch for herself. Lauren studied the note again. Camila had never acted like this in high school. She had always been selfish, mysterious, never seeming to care about Lauren's emotions. Could she have changed? What would Camila say if she met with her? What would Lauren herself say? But the biggest question Lauren was wondering about was, why did she still get butterflies just thinking about Camila?
