Chapter Three
~Charlene~
"Are you okay?"
I sat up and looked around at where I am now. I started getting panicked.
"Are you okay? Do you need the doctor?" The guy talked to me while holding my hand.
I pushes his hand away. Not harshly but lightly. I didn't talked at all because how could humans actually talked to me right? Yes. That guy is actually a human and he is actually talking and did touch me.
I'm actually in the hospital sitting on the bed. I could feel there's something on my head. It's like something was wrap around my head.
"You hit your head pretty hard. But lucky you're okay. Do you remember anything?" He asked me.
I tilted my head trying to focus what exactly happened.
I was walking around still feeling guilty about what happened. I don't even know why the heck did I even care but I actually did. I tried not to care about what happened but it just keep playing at the back of my head.
I sat on a nearby bench and as I looked at the front, I saw the guy was inside a cafe. He was serving the guests in the cafe. I just sat there and watched him all day. I ignore all the schedule so that it was past to the others death timekeeper to do it. I watched him til night time. He looked emotionless. He doesn't smile much only to the customers.
As the last customer finally went out of the cafe, he started cleaning everything up alone. I decided to went in there and sat on one of the chair that was near the counter table. I could see he didn't get enough sleep due to his large eyebags underneath with his eyes. And I bet he did cried a lot for the last few days.
"Alex. You may go if you want to. I'll do the closing." One of the staff talked to him. He just nodded but still not stopping. The staff just sighed as he shook his head lightly and walked upstairs.

I couldn't ignore it anymore. I stood up and suddenly as I walked out, the guy walked past me. But this time, both of us fell down. I hit my head on one of the table. I don't know how I can hit that table when I was suppose to be able to pass through it. I lay down on the ground looking at the guy. For some reason, I could feel that the guy saw me. I then passed out.
"So do you?" He asked cocking an eyebrow.
"You can see me?" I tried asking him.
I know it's a stupid question but humans can actually see me! But he can! He's dead?
"Obviously I'm talking to you. What? You're a ghost or something?" He stated.
Actually I am. I said in my head.
"What's your name?"
"It's Charlene." I responded quickly.
Oh gosh! I talked to a human and this is scary. It's like am I a human or something? This is weird. Really weird. I checked in my pocket to search for my phone but it was nowhere to be found.
"Have you seen my phone?" I asked him while looking around my bed searching for it.
"No. Even the nurse can't find anything." He answered.
By now, if people are actually looking at me they thought I've gone insane.
What exactly happened to me?
"Ahhhhh!" I screamed out loud as I pull my hair.
"Can you chill for a sec? What's wrong with you? If you can't find your phone, you can use mine."
