Song 9: Monster by Imagine Dragons

Mikasa sat at her desk in the room she and Sasha shared. She was writing. Sasha was pacing around the room, organising the tiniest of things, babbling on about god knows what. Mikasa wasn't listening.

"Maybe we could redecorate the room...maybe get a rug or something. What do you think, Mikasa?"

"Mm." Mikasa grunted, again, not really listening.

"Or we could paint. Or hang a painting. I don't know. Give me some ideas."

"Mm."

Sasha was silent for a moment, then opened her mouth.

"Mikasa, could you, like, actually talk to me? You haven't really talke-"

"You know what Sasha?" Mikasa stood up, and turned around to face her girlfriend. "I'm sick and tired of your shit. Your endless talking, and it's usually never anything intelligent. You're constantly going on about shit that never even matters. I don't understand how you do it. It must be a family thing."

Sasha's face froze in fear. Mikasa pointed a finger at Sasha's chest.

"I think the room is FINE. I don't know why you're bent on changing something. It's never good enough for you. You want something to fix? Fix THIS."

Mikasa raised her arm and hurled the pen right next to Sasha's head, Sasha, who quickly swerved to the right, avoiding the pen hitting her ear. It left a scratch in the wall.

Mikasa slowly started walking forward, cornering Sasha, who by now, was backed all the way against the wall, in the corner.

"You, Sasha Braus, are one of the most obnoxious creatures I've ever met. And you eat more than my entire family combined. I'm surprised you're not fat."

Sasha had cowered in the corner looking up at her girlfriend, crying silently. She was shaking. Sasha was terrified.

Mikasa stared down at the younger girl, who looked like she was about to be killed. The fear in her eyes was one of the most heartbreaking things she had ever seen.

Mikasa stopped dead.

"Sasha...I...I'm sorry, I don't know what ha-"

"N-no, Mik-kasa, it's f-fine...Now I kn-know...h-how you really...f-feel about m-me" Sasha managed to say, in between sobs.

Mikasa kneeled down and reached out a hand.

Sasha scooted back as far as she could into the corner, in an upright fetal position.

"Sasha, I don't think you're annoying, I love you."

Sasha shook her head. "Mikasa, d-don't e-ever say y-you love m-me again. B-because y-you'll be

l-lying."

Mikasa dropped to her knees. "Sasha, please."

Sasha's eyes locked with Mikasa's. "Maybe I should leave. You, your house..." Sasha paused.

"The world."

Mikasa was crying now. "Sasha, no, please, I love you, I just...I don't know what happened...I've been really stressed lately, and I took it out on you. I really do love you. I'm so sorry."

Sasha thought for a second. "I...I love you too, Mikasa."

"I accept your apology."
