They drove for about 10 minutes before one of them even spoke. "We are going to rent a room at the closest motel for now." Kaori said. Akio looked at her, then back down. Kaori looked at Akio. "We will be fine." She added. The rest of the drive was silent with little conversations.
They got to the motel and rented the room. When they got to the room they sat on their beds. They kept silent until Akio started to cry. Kaori went over to her and sat next to her. Akio hugged her. Kaori hugged back, "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked Akio. Akio shook her head.
That night neither of them could get any sleep. They slept in the same bed because Akio wanted Kaori to sleep with her. Kaori turned on the tv to pass time. Akio eventually went to sleep. That night was haunted with nightmares.
