It was three days after Gabi's encounter with her parents. It was 4 in the morning and I woke up in a cold sweat. I had a craving for something, I just didn't know what. I felt so many emotions coursing through my body all at once. I quickly ran my fingers through my hair and debated on whether or not to wake Gabi.
She looked so beautiful when she slept. I decided to leave her be. I just went to the bathroom. Maybe I just needed to splash some cold water on my face..
I closed my eyes as I leaned over the sink and filled my hands with cold water. I splashed it on my face and rubbed my eyes. I slowly lifted my head and looked at my reflection in the mirror. I jumped back in surprise. My eyes were totally black. I took a double take and rubbed my eyes hard. But that did nothing. I looked into my eyes and saw one thing. Pure darkness.
