one night was what we were supposed to be,
three months later is when you were finally done with me.
to be fair I was in love
I felt like he was an angel sent from above
as he saved me from myself.
but got lost to his past.
as his old demons resurfaced he disappeared again
he said we'd get back to each other once more
I didn't believe him
I started acting like life was a chore
I'll be honest I started acting like a whore
everything but sex and drugs was a bore
I was at war with myself
you're gone again though
and life will be better for me
I know now we will never have what he wanted us to be.
