Have you ever thought about how the sun has never really seen the moon? To the sun, the moon is a Tiny spec on the horizon, spinning around a little blue orb in the sky. Next to the sun, the moon is just a pebble sitting in it's light. But the moon has definitely seen the sun.

To the moon, the sun is big, never changing in the sparkled black sky. Of course, the moon never has a chance to get closer to the sun, for, he's stuck to forever go around, and never go in. To never get closer.

Or that's what the moon thinks.

The sun has always been curious about what this little dot was doing. The smallest dot, spinning around him. Yet he wanted to know what it was. The sun is willing the moon to come closer, pulling the other in. Slowly, but surely. One day the sun shall see what his little spec really is.

Slowly the little moon started to drift away from his blue ball, Closer to the sun. One day they will meet. But when they meet it won't be a happy one.

The sun is finally going to see what his lovely little dot is. Looking at him, he feels a connection, like a spark. But the sun knows that if he gets too close, he will burn up in his own fiery gasses. He fought to push his little moon away to safety, but alas it was no use. The moon's force had grown stronger, and was pushing himself in to see his special sun that lit his sky.

He would not fail his mission.

For days the sun tried to push him back, and for days the moon pushed himself closer. If the sun couldn't stop his little moon from getting closer, he thought, then he would slow him down.

The moon didn't understand that he would burn when he made it to his sun. One day, almost there, he started to warm up. And warm up more, and then some more, until he started to crumble. It was hardly noticeable at first. Then he lost bigger pieces, then entire chunks, until eventually half of him was gone. He still went on.

The sun felt like weeping as he saw his moon crumbling, for he felt like it was all his fault. But one cannot stop another's self destructive behavior unless the other truly wanted to stop too.

Eventually the moon collided with the sun, and turned to dust immediately. The moon, so eager to meet the sun, that he couldn't see how much he himself was hurting. And the sun feeling mournful for the loss of it's little moon, even though there was nothing it could do to stop it.

The world went dark for a fateful moment, as the sun closed its eyes for the first time in centuries, and wept for the loss of his little moon.
