Chapter 2: He's just not in to you

I stood there like an idiot. How is this my fault? I didn't do anything, so what is my bag falls and he decides to be helpful, how is that a bad thing? Ok maybe am not so innocent, my heart heart skips a beat when I see him, but that doesn't really mean anything, right? oh God please help me, I feel terrible for something that hasn't even happened yet.  How does that even make sence? I feel so bad about her being so angry, but what have I done to really recieve her fury. Maybe I should stay away from him, and try to keep my distance, right! It seems like the best thing to do. she's my best friend, she's been there like I've been there for her. It's time for me to sacrifice for her, and let her have her chance. Thst seems to be the best thing to do.

I shook my head slightly at my plan, and started to head towards the dorms. this place is great, everyhting about about it is just amazing. But my mind just couldn't erase Lisa's words. I reached the steps to our floor then I processed down the long hallway. A figure was walking close to my direction, when I lookd closer, my heart stopped beating. Kai stood only steps away as he approached me.

"Hey" he said with a shy manner

"Hi" I replyed with a nervous smile. My mind was screaming to walk away from him, and focus on keeping my distance. But my heart was screaming something else at me, I couldn't help it Kai was making my heart go crazy.

"I helped put your things in your room"

"Thanks, for everything"

"No problem." he said as he smiled. My heart exploded with excitment that I couldn't piece myself together.

"But" he began "I....... was wondering.... if you would like to go see the rest of Korea with me? Only if you want to, you don't have to if you don't want to" the nervousness in his eyes travled to his words, which made him look like a sweet little child. Without thinking my heart answered instead of my ming

"I'll love to go"

"Great" he said with a smile "I'll pick you up around the evening at 8 pm"

I just shook my head in a yes motion. he said goodbye and shook my hand, which only made my heart leap with joy. He walked past me, and headed down the hall. My mind screamed at me in total fury. "You idiot you totally forgot the plan which was to keep your distance, is that keeping you distance?"

Believe it or not I just comitted a crime to my best friend which was going on a date with the very guy she traveled all the way here for. Wow! I'm the worst. 

When I reached the door of our dorm, I breath out a long breath of air. Now it was time to face my demon that lived in the other side of this door. I calmed down my gulity heart, and screaming mind and opened the door. Kev stood near the couch with an annoyed look on his face.

"Please tell your friend to stop crying over Kai, he didn't do anything to her." Kev said approaching me. I swallowed the nervousness that still hung in my throat.

"Uh" I began "What happened?"

"She's been here trying to talk to Kai when he was helping unpack a few of your things. She tried to literally pull him on her, she tried to make it look like an accident, but it made her look like a weirdo. I had to apologize to kai many times, while she went to her room crying. Kai said it was cool and all, but she's taking it harder on herself. Maybe this was all a bad idea." he said shaking his head

Kev's words were like bullets being shot at me, and they all reached there target; my heart. "Did you tell her that Kai didn't really care that much about what she did"

"I did! many times, but she wouldn't even listen to me"

I looked around our dorm, it looked like a little house. It was nice, the furniture was not fancy but it had it's qualities. I kept shifiting till I found the room Lisa hid herself in, I heard her sobbing like a little baby. I sure as hell didn't want to confront her. Lisa can be scary, as nice as she is there's a darkness that drips from her every move. I'm I that strong even to accept the fury that's ready to reach my way. I shook my head slightly and opened the door. I saw her lying near the bed with her eyes blood shut. She looked like a complete lunatic.

"What the hell do you want" she asked as her red eyes stared at me in such a disgusted way. "Sweetie what are you doing to yourself"

"Oh please don't ask my that bullshit question. I told you he wouldn't pay any attension to me, because you'll always the competition."

"oh really then why did you ask me to come" 

she laughed slightly "Because I though bringing my best friend could make her support me, so she could have my back more. But nooooo she decides to take what's mine. You know Chrissy that's called betrayal, you betrayed me in less than 24 hours." she spat at me

"Your insane!"I said as venom filled my words "If your too fucking blind to realize the truth then your just insane. He just met you, he just met me. If you keep showing yourself as a little  desperate little whore than that's how he's gonna take you. It's not rocket science sweetie it's the truth."

Her face held lust and hurt, and she stared at me in total shock. "Oh" she grinned "you wanna talk about the truth now huh" she shook her head and laughed "let me tell you something miss I know all about the truth. I don't care how this may seem to you, but like I said he's mine."

The way she spoke her last words held seriousness in them. I couldn't think anymore, my mind was just silent for a while. I walked away from her door and proceeded back to the living room to see Kev on the couch.

"I don't think I can do this anymore, she's insane"

"Tell me about it" kev said in a sad tone, as he picked up the remote to change the channel. "I'm just so surprised I've never seen her like this before"

"Me neither, Maybe I shouldn't have rented out these dorms. I didn't know she was soooo--

"Don't kev just keep an eye on her"

"Me! are you kidding. so I have to stay here and listen to her cry all day. no way" 

"Kev, please I have to meet with Kai" without thinking my secret leaked out of me

"What!" kev almost shouted

"Shush" I said as I tried to make him calm down, I don't want Lisa to cut my eyes out if she finds out.

"Oh how wonderful chrissy, you've just completed the last piece of this insane puzzle" he said as sacasim dripped from his tough. 

"Kev I can't help it I like him" I said in a whisper

"Oh freaking tastic. That's just great" he said with more sacasim 

"I need you to cover for me she can never know aboout this"

"No" he began "no I'm not gonna be in this tangled mess"

"Kev, I beg of you please"

Kev stood there without saying another words, I got up and held on to his hand, "Please, Please, I'm not going to let go if you say no. After 10 minutes of begging Kev gave up and said yes. I hugged him, and went to take a shower, after that I got dressed to see the one and only Kai. 

Kai arrieved exactlt at 8 pm, but I was dressed anyway so I was all good. I opened the door, and greeted Kai shyly. Then I grabbed him, and closed the door so Lisa wouldn't hear us.

"You look beutiful"

"Thanks" I said with a blush
