Drake's POV

"The Queen must be stopped!" I shouted to the three Lords in my court. "The prophecy must be fulfilled!"

Argoth quickly spoke up against me, refusing to heed my words.

"The Queen has three other Lords on her side! Not to mention her Royal Army! We don't stand a chance." He said with a worried expression on his face.

"Argoth, if you're so worried about the Queen's assets, why don't you & your coven just join them?" I said sarcastically.

"Very well...I believe I shall..." He said before turning & walking out of my castle.

I let out a deep sigh, regretting my sarcasm.

"Maloran, where do you stand in this war?" I asked tiredly.

"I think its time for a new ruler. The Queen has become the very evil she swore to defeat. I'm siding with you in this war." He said as he adjusted his coat.

"Good." I said as I gave a quick glance at Emily, who was across the room, watching with concern in her eyes.

"And as for you Lucius?" I asked as I sipped my glass of blood.

"My loyalties do NOT lie with this tyrant who calls herself a Queen. She must be stopped before this war consumes the planet." He said with a determined look on his face.

"Very well. Gather your men my fellow Lords, we meet in Eldenwood in two days time!"

And with that, this war began in earnest. I didn't want it to be this way. The Queen should already be dead.

Flashbacks creeped into my mind of Selene's heart falling to the floor. The way her slender body lay lifeless in the large puddle of blood surrounding her.

I quickly wiped away the tears that had welled in my eyes. Things weren't going to be the same without her.

As I made my way over to Emily she gave me a look I hadn't seen from her since her first days here. The fear built up into her eyes like sawdust at a lumber mill. She was scared. I wrapped her in my arms in a warm embrace.

"So what now?" She asked.

"Now...we need to go see someone I haven't seen in a long time." I told her.

"And who's that?" She asked.

"The Goddess of Vamparism herself...Zephara." I replied.

We went to the room & began to gather our things before departing.

I put on my royal armor once more before placing my sword back into its sheath.

Emily sheathed her shortblade before grabbing her coat. I left Garrus in charge of the castle as we departed for the journey into the mountains.
