3rd POV:
Shuichi didn't sleep, even if he tried he just couldn't but he found it alright. At least he killed time by watching Danganronpa all night. He dressed up, still having an hour left till school. He wondered if his dear, Kokichi would show up today. He knew and was well aware of his actions. He was just careless and still did it anyways. He went downstairs, surprisingly seeing his uncle laying on the couch watching tv. He must've sensed Shuichi's presence because he rose his hand up and waved at him with a gentle smile."Hey Shuichi, how are you boy?" "Ah, I'm good. No work today for you?" His uncle shook his head. "Nah, I'm glad since I really need a break from one case." Shuichi loved his uncle's detective life. How he'd sometimes tell him stuff that happens and such. "Don't you have an hour until you go to school?" "Yep." his uncle raised an eyebrow, looking at him puzzled a bit. "Then why are you up so early? Most kids wouldn't dare waking up at this time." "Eh, guess I didn't feel like sleeping anymore." Lying to his uncle was a norm for him. He'd lie about his social life, school life, and even sleep.
"Well, at least eat something alright?" Shuichi nodded, going to the kitchen to grab an apple and took a bite. Honestly, he wasn't hungry at all in the mornings so to him this was a waste of a perfectly, good apple. He threw the unfinished apple into the trash and sat at the table, pulling his phone out and watching random stuff to pass time.
. . .
Kokichi woke up with a soaring pain around his arms, that's when he remembered yesterday's events. He went to the restroom and took off his bandages, cringing at the horrible cuts all over his arms. Trailing from his wrist to all the way up, stopping around his elbow. Maybe, just maybe he could tell his mom that he was sick and didn't want to go to school today. He knew it was bad to lie to his mother but if it was a way to at least not see Shuichi for one day then so be it. He put on new bandages he had from his cabinet and went back to his room, to grab his phone and dial his mother's number.
After a minute, she picked up. "Yes, Kokichi dear?" He swallowed hard, trying to sound as calmly as possible. "M-Mom, can I-I stay home..? I don't feel so good.." His mom went silent for a second before, "Yea, sure! Try to relax okay?" "Y-Yea, thanks mom.." "No problem, bye Kokichi! Love you!!" And with that, she hung up. Kokichi finally breathed, feeling as though he wasn't breathing throughout that entire call. He felt a twist of guilt on his chest. He laid on his bed, texting Rantaro about him not going to go to school today.
He hoped Kaede and Kiibo wouldn't be too disappointed too, well, probably not Kaede considering she hardly cares about anything that including people as she's said before but he just believes that there's actually a kind hearted person in there..somewhere. He sat up, feeling as though he wanted to do something. He just couldn't stand staying in the same spot for too long, he was usually fidgety. He stood up and went down the stairs to the kitchen, he opened the fridge to see not much.
"I'll just m-make eggs and bacon.." he took the eggs cartridge and bacon and began to start making his breakfast.
. . .
When Shuichi started walking to school, he noticed Rantaro but didn't see Kokichi walking with him which disappointed him. A lot. "Hey Rantaro." "Hey man." "Sooo, where's Kokichi?" Rantaro gave him a sad smile. "He's not coming since he's sick." Shuichi nodded, not believing that. He knew that was a damn lie. When they made it to school, they went their separate ways. 'Class is definitely going to be boring' when he sat down, for once he actually did his bellwork and did a bit of work. But mostly, he was spamming Kokichi with a shitton of messages, either about: "I know you're lying." or "You better show up tomorrow." He knew this would scare the boy but he didn't care.
All he wanted to do was see the boy, he'd probably make a stop at his house. And if he didn't let him in then he would find a way too, anyway to see and touch him. Because even if he was obsessed with Danganronpa, he was also going obsessed over that pure, boy. "Shuichi Saihara." He snapped out of his daze, looking at his teacher. "Yes, sir?" "Pay attention please." He nodded and then the teacher looked back at the board once more. Shuichi just wanted to leave this damn class already.
After class, he went to his locker to grab his lunch and then went to the cafeteria. It felt weird without the smaller boy by his side. He went to his usual table with the group there. "Hey Shuichi." Rantaro waved. Kaede was too focused on her phone to notice him while Kiibo scoffed, turning his head to avoid him. "Shuichi, might doing me a favor?" "Uh, sure?" "Well, it's about Kokichi." By the mention of the name, Shuichi's face warmed up more than usual. "What about him?" "I want you to check up on him when we get out of school." "How, okay. But why can't you?" "I have to take care of my siblings." "Oh, understood. I will."
Rantaro Smiles, "Thanks Shuichi."The bell rang, making all the students go to their next class. Well, Shuichi has other things in mind. He was going to skip school and go to Kokichi's house right now. He opened his locker, grabbed his backpack and slammed it shut and started running in the halls, pushing the doors open and going outside. He ran and ran until he made it to Kokichi's front house. He breathed heavily, now regretting for running so much but oh well. And so, he knocked.
. . .
Kokichi didn't know what to do, he knew that Shuichi had been spamming his messages with him either threatening him and other horrible stuff. He knew it'd probably be smart to tell an adult but yet.. Shuichi was a friend to him, barley a month and there he was thinking they were like best friends. He was then snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a knock at the door, he tried to take the blinds off to see who it was through but it wasn't working, and there wasn't a hole to peak and look. He decided to suck it up and just open the door for whoever will be the one to end his short life of his.
. . .
After about five minutes, the door opened to reveal Kokichi. He looked up but then stopped, his violet eyes widening, almost at the verge of tearing up and he started to shake just like yesterday. "O-Oh..S-Shuichi, I-I didn't th—" Shuichi shoved Kokichi a bit, making his way inside the house. Kokichi closed the door, looking paranoid and anxious as though he was at the point of having a panic attack. "Kokichi, why didn't you tell me you weren't going to school?" Shuichi sounded pissed, he honestly couldn't believe that he wouldn't have told him but told Rantaro. "I-I..didn't want to b-bother you.." lie. That was a lie. And that's what set him off more.
Shuichi grabbed him by his hand, harshly and then pushed him onto the sofa. He squinted and backed up all the way at the end of the sofa as Shuichi went closer to him, going on top of him while grabbing his chin, making Kokichi look at him with his devilish grin. "Oh dear, pure Kokichi. For someone like you I didn't expect you to be a liar." He then heard a weep escape from Kokichi's lips. "I-I'm sorry.." He stopped grabbing his chin. He looked at the boy below him, watching as he desperately tried whipping his tears to no success. They just kept coming.
And almost without thinking, he leaned in and kissed the boy's face, mostly the tears that kept streaming down. He seemed to stop after a minute, then hugged him, making him hug back. They stayed in silence in that position. But after a while, "Kokichi, do me a favor." Kokichi didn't want to say anything but did anyways. "Y-Yea..?" "Don't lie to me again, or I swear I won't show any sort of mercy towards you again. understood?" He had a terrifying expression making Kokichi look down and whisper a "Yes" Shuichi went back to his usual normal grin. "Good boy." And petted the boy as if were his. Which to his eyes, was.
