A/N: How do you write a dorkish geeky babby? Here's me wishing that I got him right.

We went on like nothing ever happened. We talked about the things I did when I was away as we walked. From my moon exploits, what me and the guys are doing back at Craggy Island, and the inevitable moments of idiocy between the three of us, she gives off a few smiles here and there hearing my stories. Nano let out a chuckle having heard of my almost moon suffocation incident. I rubbed the back of my head as a response. Got to admit, it was really stupid.

I have been away from PandaLabs for quite awhile, helping Honeydew and Xephos build their space station and all. I felt a little guilty leaving Nano on her own for a long time. She said she didn't mind though. After all, Xeph wouldn't trust Honeydew that big of a task. It took a long time setting a dependable breathing system up there; it was understandable. Surprisingly, I was able to finish it earlier that what we expected. I was starting to go space mad being up there, so it all turned out good.

During our conversation, the topic went to what she did while I was away. She seemed absent-minded as she recall. Nano visited Lomadia and Nilesy a few months back to learn a little bit more of those circle Witchery stuff and knowing her, probably sneak some more of Lom's Flux Wine while she's at it. Kirin Dave popped by for a visit as well. The storm mage probably overlooking her progress and probably giving her small tips and such. He also visited his Questing Ram, Mickey. It all sounded fun and exciting, yet she was a bit aloof while telling me so.

I felt a smile appear on my features. Listening to her talk about the things she learned from others and by herself and how she says these things with understanding; I felt pride and joy swell up to my chest. She has grown so much from the girl that fell in my fountain. 'My apprentice has come a long way away.' I corrected myself. Partner. She's my partner. Like Honeydew and Xephos, Lomadia and Nilesy; I could say she's my own partner in crime. The thought was a bright light. It felt warm too.

"Lalna?" I blinked twice. I looked around and saw that she had stopped by a tree. Staring up, it was one of those giant trees common to the dimension. "Did you hear me?" She posed that annoyed stance with her hands on her hips. Nano annoyed, it never ends good.

"Uh..." I got distracted. I could only guess "No, sorry. What is it, Nano?" I ask as I walked towards her. She approached the humongous Twilight oak and gently place her left non-fluxed ear against the tree and knocked with some force. The knock vibrated its way up the trunk to its branches. Small cracks chipped away at the sides. The noisy rustling of the leaves above could be heard, and I could faintly see flock after flocks of birds fly away from the humongous tree. It must be hollow inside for the noise to be able to reach that high.

With a click and a whir came a blast of wind. I shielded my eyes as rainbow particles floated by. She hovered a few feet up and was looking up; her eyes were looking around searching for something.

"Where are you going?"

"Up. Just gonna check something out."

"Want me to come up with you as well?" I ask. She replies with a shook of her head.

"I'll be back before you know it. Just stay put." She flies off and into the canopy of leaves, some of which slowly drifts in the wind after contact. What she could be doing is beyond me.

Seeing that we could stay here for a couple of minutes, I went and sat atop a big boulder at the base of the tree taking it as an opportunity to breathe out. Leaning against the strong trunk, I took in the sight of lovely cool colors of the tree with sunlight piercing out of the leaves' shade here and there. The faint shimmer of rainbow emitting from above made me able to relax.
