Signalling to Alice as she was deciding whether or not to leave me I ran to hide in the bushes out of site of the Queens guards. Waiting patiently a few minutes passed before Alice had agreed to the new dress and was about to be fitted and have the dress made.
Looking around I saw as everyone including the guards walk into the castle following the queen. The only people still outisde were me, the three cards who had helped us and the mad hatter and his friends. I guess he was left behind and spared with all the commotion Alice was creating or should I say Lucy heartfilia. Where on earth did she get that name form any way.
Walking over to the Hatter I made sure there were no more guards around to find us. Satisfied that we were alone I approached him and the March hare as well as Reepacheep. Reaching into my pocket I ate a bit of cake as well as giving some to the three cards so we could return to our original size.
Happy that I was once again the right size I waved goodbye to the cards as they ran towards the lake to rid themselves of the red paint then back towards the castle where the rest of the cards had previously gone.
Turning to look at the Mad hatter I asked him what he was going to do now.
"Im going to continue with my tea party of course. I am not a member of the queens court so do not need to attend and if she were to really behead me she would no longer have someone to make her hats or at least nowhere near as large as mine to fit her large head. Any who toodles must go before the tea goes cold" With that he left with the march hare and Reepacheep right behind him.
Reaching into my pocket I debated on whether or not I should eat some cake to make me grow. The queen seemed to love big things from how much she seemed to like the new height of Alice. Deciding against it I decided to stay my own height and venture onwards to find out where Alice was.
Reaching the large castle doors I crept inside to see an empty hallway. Looking around I saw what seemed to be a mouse hole.
Reaching into my other pocket I pulled out a vial wondering if I should shrink down so I could explore more easily without being seen. My decision was made for me though a few seconds later when I heard footsteps coming closet. Taking a gulp of the syrup I shrank down the right size to fit into the mouse hole. Runnning I made it just in time when a line of cards rounded the corner narrowly missing me.
Looking at myself I saw that I was about 20cm tall. Just like with Alice earlier though my clothes had mysteriously shrunk not that I was complaining though.
Looking around once more I saw a distant light up head so started climbing up the slight slope. Looking through the hole I saw I was now on top a cupboard in what seemed to be the palace kitchen. I saw many normal people no longer cards bustling about cooking a variety of foods in only reds, oranges, pinks and golden shades. From the salad to dessert nothing was any other other shade other than red, gold, black or orange.
Looking at the shelf below me I saw a small boy sneak in along the side of the kitchen unnoticed by any of the staff.Glancing around he seemed to realise no one had yet noticed him. With another last glance he reached onto the shelf below where I was currently hiding and snatched a handful of what seemd to be strawberry tarts decorated with little hearts.
This boy was a thief, but I knew if I ratted him out he would most likely be beheaded.Shoving them into his pockets and some in his mouth he dashed out of the kitchen only to run into one of the cards standing guards outside.
"Now what do we have here then it looks like we have a thief in our midsts".
"Please let me go I havent eaten in weeks Im starving, please dont turn me in Im sorry".
"Then you shouldnt have done it in the first place. To the dungeuns with this boy he will be seen by the Queen soon in her court."
At the sound of the Queens court I remebered that that is where Alice should be. Leaving the kitchen I continued running through the tunnels. After what seemed like forever I reached the court room to see everyone seated. The one who stood out the most, besides the queen, was Alice with her trememdous size. Looking at her dress I was astonished by how amazing she looked. The dress was relatively simple but suited her hair marvously well.
It was made from what seemed to be a silky golden material and the skirt came to her knees with a layer of black netting underneath. The waist had a black ribbon and the corset had a floral design made out of what seemed to be small black diamonds. She wore a matching golden ribbon choker with a black tear drop shaded diamond and a black ribbon in her hair studded with once again more black diamonds. As she turned to look around I saw the back was laced up with a black ribbon with a small bow at the base.
Looking at the shoes I saw they were knee high and laced up with similar black ribbons. They also had simialr black diamond floral designs on the front. Overall she looked gorgeuos and I couldnt wait to tell her.
With a loud voice the queen announced that the court was now in session then ordered the guards to bring in suspects. One after another what seemed to be innocent people walked in in chains with glums faces. After a few people I noticed the boy I saw in the kitchen earlier looking around more nervously and afraid than the rest.
With a loud voice and anger clear in her voice she spoke. "Now, WHICH ONE OF YOU SWINE ATE MY TARTS AND IF SOMEONE DOESNT CONFESS THEN ITLL BE OFF WITH YOUR HEADS ALL OF YOU!!"
Glancing at Alice I saw the suprise evident in her features. Glancing back at the young boy I saw his face visibly pale and his body started quivering.
All I could think was she truly as mad as a hatter.
