You and prince T'Challa met in America when he was first there with his father. His father was grooming him to be king one day. You were King T'Chaka's International Advisor. Your job was to advise him on international matters with Wakanda's best interest always prevailing. You were highly qualified because of your 4 degrees, 2 bachelors, one in political science, another in Economics with a minor in Law, a masters in Law and a PhD in International Relations and Law and T'Chaka had the good sense to contract your services before any other offers came your way. You had 3 others from other powerful countries, T'Chaka sweetened the pot with a ridiculous signing bonus and salary but when swayed you to Wakanda and it's king was what Wakanda stood for, their beliefs, you fell in love with Wakanda.

You worked hard to be where you were and did not want any distractions. When King T'Chaka introduced you to his young, but mature minded, handsome son Prince T'Challa the attraction was immediate for the two of you, but you pushed it to the side. You were nothing if not professional.

Since you were always with King T'Chaka he trusted you to further Wakanda's hold on the world, he wanted Wakanda to remain unknown, he wanted no one to know of how powerful Wakanda was but he wanted the country to become more involved in international politics. He wanted you to help him and the country take it's rightful place at the table with all the other powerful countries and helped you did. You ensured that the world took Wakanda serious and saw just what a powerful ally it was without disclosing it's secret power and resource, vibranium.

You worked for T'Chaka for 4 years. In those 4 years you watched him groom T'Challa to take his place as king one day. T'Challa took more and more of an interest in the politics of the country and in the politics the country would have with others. With each passing month, he became more and more apt and with each passing year and he also took more and more initiative in learning all he could not only form his father the king, but also from you. Over the year he also took more of an interest in you apart from your formal role within the family.

You often had dinner with the king and the prince tagged along. You traveled with the king and the prince tagged along, you went to summits, galas and there was the prince. He was never far and because of this you both developed a friendship that strengthened over time to the strongest bond you had ever had. That either of you had ever had. This was especially true for T'Challa, he only had his mother and sister to confide in but now there was you. He valued your advice, valued your opinions, and enjoyed spending time with you. He enjoyed it very much.

Over the 4 years of friendship you saw all the women he paraded around, the models, the actresses, they were all beautiful yes, and every one made you green with jealousy because they all exhibited something you didn't have, something you lacked. Either it was beauty, or a slender body, or fertile accolades, but you kept it to yourself and played the good friend. T'Challa also saw the men you dated, many within the political field, lawyers, CEOs, they were all something he didn't think he was, he saw something he lacked in all of them. Good looks, familiarity with American culture, intelligence, an easy nature. It hurt to see you with them but he bit his tongue and played the good friend.

Upon the 4th year of you working for the Udakas things changed after a night of celebrating the political accords between America and Wakanda. This was the first step of many to be taken but it was a step in the right direction. It took a lot of hard work on your part and you were relieved everyone got what they wanted with this accord. You, King T'Chaka and T'Challa had a wonderful dinner, and enjoyed a casino together.

You always loved the interaction between T'Chaka and T'Challa, they truly loved each other with a tenderness that melted your heart.

King T'Chaka excused himself once you returned to the suites but pushed for the two of you to continue celebrating together. You did, you deserved it after all. You both continued drinking and laughing alone in the suites. Things were always easy between the two of you. It always felt as easy as breathing. He'd made a joke about the reason why the accords were signed was because the politician that had the president's ear had a crush on you and took your friendly conversation as a hope he had a chance. You laughed it off but he continued.
