The sky was pink when the first snowflakes started to fall. You were sitting on a park bench, bundled up in your various layers of clothing, when one of them landed and melted in your steaming hot cocoa. You looked up and squinted at the sky, only to jump up in excitement a second later when you saw that more were falling. You squealed in happiness and tapped your cheeks, pink with cold, with the palm of your glove covered hand.
"The first snow!" You whispered excitedly. "THE FIRST SNOW OF THE YEAR!"
A couple walking passed you giggled as you yelled and you grinned back at them. It was the first snow of the year! You had been waiting for this exact moment since the day you woke up earlier this year and noticed that all of the snow had melted.
You jumped again when you realized that you had to tell your boyfriend, Hyunjin. Your hot cocoa spilled over the edge of your cup and fell the concrete, steaming from the difference in temperatures. You tossed the cup in a trash bin and began to jog to your boyfriends practice building, only a couple of blocks away. You couldn't stop the happy laughs bubbling from your chest and you couldn't get rid of your grin.
By the time you reached the JYP building the streets were covered in the thinnest layer of snow. You squealed and picked up the pace, running inside of the building and straight to the elevator. The lady at the front desk simply rolled her eyes. This was usual behavior for you.
The ride in the elevator was unbearable, it felt like hours when you knew it was only minutes. But you had promised to tell Hyunjin when the snow first began to fall. You promised to spend it with him. The last time the snow had started to fall, both you and Hyunjin had been busy beyond belief (you with school and him with preparing for debut).
Snow meant so much to the both of you. You didn't know why exactly, but it did and you just had to make it to Hyunjin before Seoul was covered in a blanket of white and you missed the opportunity to see it happen.
The elevator dinged and you dashed out as soon as the doors were open, the scarf you had wrapped around your neck flailing wildly behind you. Stray Kids practice room was the last one down the incredibly long hallway, and on your way you bumped into Bambam of Got7.
"Hey, little firework slow down! Your boyfriend's still there!" He called after you, shaking his head with a chuckle. "Young love... wow, I'm so lonely."
You burst through the door the moment you reached it. Chan was in the middle of talking, wiping sweat from his forehead. The others were sitting on the floor, drinking from bottles of water. Hyunjin was the only one still practicing, his hair dripping in sweat and his lips tucked together in concentration.
"HYUNJIN!" You yelled, causing everyone to jump and turn to the door. Jisung flinched into Minho's arms. Your boyfriend stopped dancing immediately and turned your way, his eyes wide.
